I remember back when this guy was in the supplemental draft (that's what it's called right?) I rooted for the 9ers to get him but we didn't He showed some promise but also proved to be an idiot with the Bengals but who doesn't right? He had enough potential that the 9ers picked him up right away when the Bengals let him go He showed enough to get invited back to camp I for one am REALLY hoping for this guy to realize his potential and show us something this year. He could really big a HUGE boost to the D, imagine if Brooks showed his college potential this year how awesome the D could be? Call it will be stick and show some of that potential on the filed or suck it up and get cut.

Very happy for the kid (obviously). This is going to be a fun year to watch all FOUR of these Lbers develop and become the playmakers in a real 3-4 defensive scheme.

was very impressed with him after re-watching the Saints game, he is def going to start at LOLB IMO

Mad dog is usually on the money on talent from the draft.... But he was off the mark on this one. Even if we had to wait a season to get him.

It appears that Brooks is a very active player. I am glad that he got a sack yesterday and it looks like he gets pretty consistent pressure on the QB. It also looks like he is playing the run well, and is holding the edge. I think that the weakest link has been Harolson, so now we will see Smith more and more and perhaps Grant as our OLB backup. Good job Mr. Brooks.

Brooks is fast, great tackler and can cover. Bowman, and aldon...AND p52? Zowie!

But but but...he isn't in shape! Haha...happy to see him thrive and the more and more Fangio employs this scheme, the more Aldon has to be accounted for, the more Fangio can do with him. It's scary when you consider he's basically playing straight up right now, every snap, since day 1. Wait until we start stunting him more, moving him around, rushing from different positions. The best thing about he and Aldon are is their CLOSING SPEED. It's seek and destroy. I'm very happy with the overall defense and we're only going to get better.

Brooks is solid. We are very fortunate he has developed so well. Without him we wouldn't have a well rounded OLB in our 3-4 scheme. Decent in coverage and pass rush. Above average against the run. What a special defense this has become. Go Niners!

Loved his sack of Stafford where Stafford sees him coming and kneels as fast as he can to avoid the hit. Didn't want to end up like this!
