Ahmad Brooks

I saw him play at VA and some w/Bengals...I've always thought he could be a beast. He came out of college sooner than he should've...he could've benefitted by playing another year or two under Al Groh. At Cincy, he had some moments, but had some issues and needed to mature. I don't condemn Nolan/Mac for not taking him in the supplemental...they intended to, but Cincy took him a round earlier. The important thing is, we have him...Singletary's taken him under his wing...helped him become a much better player and person. Now, he's producing...and it's natural many fans want him to be the starter. That could happen next season, assuming he continues to progress. Haralson's been a major disappointment...considering they extended his contract.

having too many of a position is a good thing. Spikes wont be here too much longer. i know none of Lawson, Haralson, or Brooks are great fits for ILB, but worse comes to worse, we play one of them at ILB when Spikes leaves. Haralson really hasnt been that bad for what his job title is.

Lawson has just been really good. better than people think, so it kind of skews it.

McKillop should be Spikes' replacement...he's a tackling machine and should play well alongside Willis. As I said, Haralson's been a major disappointment...but, there's nothing like some good competition to bring out the best in players. That's why I'd like to see us get a stud pass rusher this off-season. I agree with you about Lawson...everyone expected him to be this mad pass rusher, but he's developed into a very good all-around OLB. You've got to be able to do more than just rush the passer...like play the run, drop back in coverage, etc. That's one big reason why Singletary's bringing Ahmad along slowly...he wants him to develop into a complete player. He's just scratching the surface...the guy has huge potential.

I'm probably remembering this wrong... but, didn't Brooks get kicked off the team? I though that is why he declared for the supp draft.

i'd sign him to a 3 year deal.

I think this guy is here to stay. I saw him play at UVA and it's a great turn around story for a guy that could have squandered some real talent. There is plenty of room for him in the LB corps. I like him as a pass rush specialist in relief of lawson. I think he is making manny and parys step up their games as well. What I'm really interested to see is if McKillop can bulk up a bit and be a step up from an aging Spikes by pushing for playing time next season and taking the job after that.

He's only getting better, I'd resign him and still grab another pass rushing OLB in the draft, Books could play some ILB too, it would be nice to have at least 3 quality pass rushing OLB's (Brooks, Haralson and a draft pick) ..keep em fresh and we will have a mean pass rush !!!

all of the zone needs to pay homage to Crazy49er1313 for shining the light regarding Ahmad Brooks to the Webzone just before the time when AB was about to enter the Supplementary Draft. nobody on here had have heard of AB around that time. Crazy49er was the 1st to post that amazing video of AB jumping across the
O-Line and sacking the QB. From then on AB became a household name on the zone. Not even the guru's on here knew about AB.

Brooks is playing great, I'd like to see him start at Will in 2010, and bench Haralson.
Haralson is horrible against the run, and just an ok pass rusher, I'd rather he backup Manny as a 3rd down blitzer and have Briggs and/or a draft pick/fa backup Brooks

He should start the last game. Haralson would be great if he had some more speed but he doesn't. Get Brooks some more reps and start the kid.

I think, haralson is so suck and nothing to help for us to win. He is better realse or cut him with this team. whatever.. and Lawson should be Bench and part time whatever! Brooks is great play and great a quick of the process time more than Lawson!
