You mean just like we paid Haralson after an 8 sack season? Sounds like a plan.

he is all over the field! constantly causing fumbles, getting to the QB. We really need to start him over Haralson. He doesn't deserve a big contract yet a 2-3 year deal worth a few mil a year should secure him he's had a few good games nothing more than that.

he's very good , basically depending on what he does the last game he's trumphed everything Parys did all of last season at that position in a few weeks. A full season at olb Brooks could rack up 12 sacks and 10 ff. figure he's got 6 and 5 in a few weeks.

damn that's it. As long as Double Nickle keeps his attitude in check the sky is the limit.

Neither...I'm thinking Pro Bowl next year. Add Dumervil in FA and you have two legit OLB's. Trade Lawson and get something in return.

I've hopped on this bandwagon big time. Maybe even a jersey would be something I mull over. He needs to be on the field MORE!

I thought Lawson played well today. I think it's become apparent that Lawson most likely never will be that sack master that we all hoped, but he's very stout against the run.
I do think that it's because of the rotation at OLB that Brooks has been able to play as he has.

Folks should be exuberant about Ahmad Brooks without fear that he's just padding his stats against bad teams or is just a situational player.
Even before he started getting sacks he was making plays in the backfield against the run. I recall he played well against the Colts. Also if it wasn't for him being a knucklehead in college, he probably would have been drafted in the first 2 rounds.
I'm beginning to notice a good trend in that the some of the teams mid round picks (Goldson 3rd Rd, Morgan 6th Rd, Haralson 5th, Ray McDonald 3rd Rd, Jason Hill 3rd) and no name free agents (A. Franklin & Ahmad Brooks) are beginning to pan out.
If the Niners are gonna win a championship and manage the cap to contend every year, then we need to uncover these type of gems.

Agree with this, seems as though some of our players are starting to become players for the 49ers!

Then who helps stp the run or drop back? But to have the two together would be crazy.
Brooks is just what we have been lacking at the LB, not just at OLB. He is big, fast and able to play in space and brign the pain.
If we dont getting him on the field more, we will never have what we have lacked in the D since Julian P.
There is nobody on our team that teams really have to account for outside of Willis. If you have someone on the field that can playing on or close to the line that teams account for, then you can make magic like the steelers and Ravens or other great Def.
We wanted him in the sub draft badly and now we are starting to see why.
Just a guess, but he may even be our replacement for Spikes as the thumper at some point....Just a guess.
Be easy Webzone fam and have a nice new year!!!!

He has shown more in his limited time than Haralson has shown. He is a holy terror on the field we need to lock him up now and see what we have in him.
