Yup! For sure...and lighting a fire under their arses (ala Manny's response to Brooks taking over). I've been saying we've been doing a nice job of rotating the d-line but terrible at the OLB spots. Brooks is the specialist Haralson was last year but part of what helped Haralson succeed was the fact that he had one job and had plenty of rest coming off the bench in pass rushing situations.

A rotation at OLB is a good plan unless you have LT out there.

OLBs get a lot of running and a lot of hitting. They have to seal the corner, chase fast RBs, fight off pulling guards that outweigh them by 50-70 pounds, and then go chase the QB. Not an easy job that can tire out a player. Having someone on the bench waiting their turn is nice.

Wow. Just WOW! It has been a long time since a Niner passrusher had a game like Brooks had last night. I was just so damn impressed by the explosive first step and his closing speed. What a great sight to see!!!!!!!!!

Now.. this does change the draft some in my opinion. I would definitly wait until round 2 to grab a passrusher. I think Joe Haden and Trent Williams make the most sense right now for this team. ( that is assuming Berry is long gone). I would like to get a Huges, Graham, Kindle , Sapp in round 2 and I think its possible one will be there.

I for one am REALLY hoping for this guy to realize his potential and show us something this year. He could really big a HUGE boost to the D, imagine if Brooks showed his college potential this year how awesome the D could be?

Call it will be stick and show some of that potential on the filed or suck it up and get cut.

Good question...Ahmad was pretty darn quick on Monday night, that's for sure. I think he's still a diamond in the rough...once he really learns the craft of pass rushing, he could put up some impressive numbers. Definitely encouraging signs...

Yes agreed and we need to get him signed to an extension.

4 sacks and 3 forced fumbles in 2 weeks of pass rushing.. I can not remember the last time we had a player get 4 sacks in 2 weeks. Anyone know? He has 5 on the season and is 2nd on the team. If he finishes this year strong that is another piece of the puzzle that is fitting nicely for next year
