According to Williams, (Lewis' Agent) he and Lewis have heard different things from different people within the 49ers' organization.
When asked who is calling the shots for the 49ers, Williams answered, "That's the problem. I don't know, and I don't think they know."
HAHA. That sounds about right. A few losses and this team falls apart at the seem. Why? NO LEADERSHIP.
The 49ers are an anarchy....players feel free to do whatever they want (Balmer, Coffee, Lewis, Crabs).

Well I don't know what to say anymore. This team is in disarray. Lewis wants out, Coffee retires, and Balmer quits on us. Raye fired. Scotty Mcdrunk fired, , ST coach fired, OL coach fired, Nolan Fired, Martz Fired, Hostler fired, Erickson Fired, TO wants out, Garcia cut...
This is getting ridiculous.
We are the most pathetic franchise in the last 4 years...BAR NONE....
Can anyone add to this list of incompetence for me?
This is what the webzone wants...bet you can find multiple threads asking for each of those things to happen (miunus the quitting, but people who wanted those players gone)
Yeah people on this board probably can run a better front then the Yorks. We would never have hired/drafted some of these bafoons.
Coffee was drafted way before his time and most wanted Deshan Jackson over Balmer. These guys were overrated and when it showed on the field and got benched, they couldn't handle it.
Lewis was a good vet and we didn't treat him right obviously. One person told him he is the starter and other said he was benched and another said his time was getting cut.
We are a f**ked up organization.

Michael Lewis asks for release?
As in a "happy ending?"

I'm beginning to feel the season is over. Might as well give Reggie Smith and Taylor Mays some meaningful reps.

I found this info in an article about Lewis:
Troubles defending the pass ultimately cost Lewis his starting job with Philadelphia midway through the 2006 season, when he was replaced by Sean Considine. Lewis handled the situation like a professional, finished out the year and then signed as a free agent with San Francisco.
"At one point in my life I thought it was personal, but it's never personal," said Lewis, a Pro Bowl player for the Eagles following the 2004 season. "It's business. So by saying that, I'm saying that I got over it once I signed with the 49ers.
So what is the difference between now and a few years ago Mike?

good riddance. Reggie is better at this point. If Lewis can't handle sharing snaps then GTFO. He was a god damned liability back there anyway.

This was apparently a festering problem from the time he agreed to a pay cut last summer. He's never been a great cover guy, and has lost a step even from what he was.
The Niners apparently recognized his veteran status, and relied on him to be a team leader. His most recent move indicates that he was not fulfilling that role, either.
So, like you say, "good riddance."

Once Mays gets a feel of the league, he'll be a badass.

I don't know how this thread became a Nate C salary cap discussion. Please, let's bring the attention back to the whiny little b***h named Michael Lewis. If he can't take being demoted and sulks like a baby then make his sit out for the season. This kinda of egotistical bull is soooo annoying. F him.

That's just sad. Our secondary sucks in the redzone. When opposing teams pass in the redzone I can almost guarantee that it's going to a touchdown. How can we fix this? Start a new FS, I don't care who it is. Any bum off the street is better than Roman. Start Brown over Harris. Harris is too old and slow now. Let Clements play to his style which is bump and run. We need a good FS so Clements can get physical with the WR. Michael Lewis doesn't need any help, he's a beast.
i have an idea. WHy dont you change your user name to i want whiners. Perfect name for you. Next to ask for his release is bucket head dingeberry.

lewis's agent just told me that michael wanted out earlier because his feelings got hurt when he read a lot of the comments about him on this forum... he knows that a lot of us thinks that he sucks. he said he hates us and wants out. he's mad and sad.
truth hurts
