Michael Lewis is better than a guy who held Larry Fitzgerald to like 7 catches all last season? Really?

what are you talking about? both Boldin and Fitz kicked our butt last season. Even Breaston ate our "secondary".

Ever since Lockdown-22 got here he has shut down Fitzgerald, even his first game with us on MNF he helped us shut both those big time WR's down, and last season Nate held Larry to 77 total yards.

not Clements, not Walt Harris, and certainly not that ball hawk Roman

That's just sad. Our secondary sucks in the redzone. When opposing teams pass in the redzone I can almost guarantee that it's going to a touchdown. How can we fix this? Start a new FS, I don't care who it is. Any bum off the street is better than Roman. Start Brown over Harris. Harris is too old and slow now. Let Clements play to his style which is bump and run. We need a good FS so Clements can get physical with the WR. Michael Lewis doesn't need any help, he's a beast.

Put down the crack now.

i rank our DB's:

-Clements
-Lewis
-Harris
-Brown
-Goldson
-Spencer
-Roman

etc.. rest are unproven

i think everyone knocked M. Lewis' pass coverage ability but he didnt look like a liability to me. he was the most consistent performer we had out there. nate and walt got torched quite a few times but i think lewis has played very well for us, he was an amazing addition to this team and im glad he's here

Glad you see what I see. Michael Lewis is a consitent performer. On the hand, Nate was torched for a big play every other game. I am not saying he sucks because i know he doesn't. He just needs to play to his style. But Lewis has performed better since the addition of the two.

i mean everyone gets beat sometimes, even D. Sanders got beat a few times, i think nate is a very good corner but nolan had him playing to his weaknesses instead of his strength. his strengths are bump and run, hes gotta be stuffing the receiver at the line, nolan had him playing back 15 yards to start out and had him in zone a lot. we signed him to be physical. in the NFL u cant touch a receiver after 5 yards so how is he gonna be physical when he lines up 10 yards back? i think M lewis is a legit starter, i hope goldson or Smith step up to play FS, or maybe walt can play FS like lots of CB's do when they get old and we can start T. Brown and Clements at the CB spots. i think thats a good backfield brown and clements on the outside with lewis and harris in the middle

ok, how many big plays have Michael Lewis given up compared to Nate? let's debate

Nate had one bad game uno, it just happened to be the worst game of his career, and happened be in Dallas against the Cowboys, and he had to be covering or lack there of TO. Lewis as much as I love having him cannot cover deep, that's why we had Roman and Goldson on most 3rd down pass plays, Lewis a solid safety, but come on this isn't even up for debate, what's next you gonna say Spikes is the best Linebacker on are team (when of course Willis is) or Bass is the best O-Lineman (when of course Staley is), come on now.

So getting smoked by Devery Henderson for a 90 yard TD wasn't a bad game?

You might as well debate how many touchdown passes Frank Gore has had compared to Shaun Hill. One's a safety and the other is the cornerback - in fact, Clements is the guy who always gets to cover the opposition's best receiver. What the hell are you even arguing about? Clements is our best corner and Lewis is arguably our best safety.

Michael Lewis has played SS better than Nate played CB since the addition of them. That's all i am saying. If you think it's wrong then we could dig deeper into the games that they have played.

Clements has given TONS of big plays while Lewis hasn't.

did i say TDs? i said big plays. let's count how many has Clements given up to Lewis so we can debate who's been the better player. It's no doubt that Lewis has been better. You guys are in denial because of the 70 million price tag on his back.

If you looked at every secondary in the NFL, you would find that the number one cornerback has given up more big plays than the safety. Again, this is because the number one cornerback always guards the opposition's best receiver. Why are you pretending that this isn't a huge factor in this phony comparison?

Sopoaga has given up less big plays than Lewis

Yea but Clements has given up a TON of big plays, that's not good. Lewis has been consistently good so why isn't he the best player on the secondary? because Nate is the #1 CB and the price tag on his back? people should just give Lewis his props. He has played better than Nate, that's a fact.
Moreover, Lewis is usually not even in position to help a cornerback out. It is completely irrelevant to compare the number of plays a strong saftey makes to the number a cornerback makes. Or to put it another way, can you think of any game they have ever played where Lewis was guarding a one or two receiver?

You should be talking about yourself. All of your posts on here are either 1 sentence long or a line dissing someone.

Short and to the point.

Yea, kinda like your penis.

What the hell does this steroid pumpin retard have to do with any of this?

What do you mean? That facial expression is priceless.
IWantWinners, you are saying that Lewis is better than Clements and I'm saying it's an illegitimate comparison. I like them both for different reasons. You posted this data to support your argument:

Breaston - 124 yards
Boldin - 92 yards 2 TDs
Fitz - 46 yards 1 TD

Clements was on Fitz. Just for the sake of argument, who was on Breaston?
