hahaha well played. Having watched the games though I think our secondary did pretty well against them, especially compared to how poorly the Card's receivers were covered in the playoffs. I remember watching the playoff games going "HOW IS FITZGERALD THAT OPEN?!" I don't remember asking that when they played the 49ers.

Lewis is great in run support and is a very smart safety, however he doesn't have the speed or athleticism to be very good in coverage anymore. In his prime = pro bowler, now = solid starter. I still think Clements is the best guy in our secondary by far. He allowed the Madden '10 cover boy to get a whole 42 yards on him. I can live with that.

That's just sad. Our secondary sucks in the redzone. When opposing teams pass in the redzone I can almost guarantee that it's going to a touchdown. How can we fix this? Start a new FS, I don't care who it is. Any bum off the street is better than Roman. Start Brown over Harris. Harris is too old and slow now. Let Clements play to his style which is bump and run. We need a good FS so Clements can get physical with the WR. Michael Lewis doesn't need any help, he's a beast.

Dumb post. Clements is in man to man so he is automatically better then Lewis.

Lewis does wonders in run support but he's more like our 3rd worst player. I would even rate Walt Harris or Brown better then him

Harris is not a bad CB. He's played very well for us, including last year. He went to a Pro Bowl and got 4 INTs last year. For a guy who's almost 35, thats not bad. He's been productive. Nate Clements has had some bad moments but he's still one of the best in the NFL. There is no such thing as a shutdown corner anymore. Champ Bailey was the last one and he's not as good anymore. I think Clements has been an upgrade over what we've had and we should be thankful... especially when we think about Willie Middlebrooks and Mike Rumph STARTING for us. Its nice to see Michael Lewis get some love though. He's not always appreciated by some of you Niner "fans."
