MM's twitter. Thats pretty cool. Bad for Smith throwing a pick but its cool to see a team come together like that. So much for everyone on the team "hating" on Alex. By the way, Hill had 15 straight completions. Thats awesome. My prediction: Hill and Smith will do about equal in pre-season. Both will have 7/9, 8/10, 6/7 type numbers. Hill will get the nod for the season because of what he's done. Just my feeling on this. He'll be on a very short leash though.
yup its nice to see his team support him. nice to hear about shaun too. didnt alex have 20 straight completions on like friday? it sounds like jimmy raye and mike johnson are really working some magic on these 2.

Smith may have made a bigger statement to Singletary sitting on the hill with his favorite reciever and the entire starting offensive line than he could have on the field.
That, or it is a great view to watch practice from.

was he actually watching the view from the hill? Or was he running up and down the hill?

Actually the line came up there because it was partly their fault. So they came up for support. This way it shows the coach and the rest of the team that they can man up to their own mistakes. This of course is MHO
Probably would have happened with Hill. Keeping it light.

I don't want to read too much into it, but maybe this is a sign of what Coach Singletary meant by the team telling him who they want as the starting QB?

The O-Line has always supported Alex. He works out with them and they hang out (it was shown on Niners All-Access) it'd be a bigger deal if the receivers had shown support to Alex. When the guys catching the balls back one of the Quarterbacks then this competition will be over.

Im just glad to see that the team is fighting for each other. I think this is a good sign of things to come. Way to go Niners!

well he said the next guy to cause a turnover was going on the hill
at least it shows the line has his back

Reading that was a very good thing for Alex, I have to say.

The O.L. and Jones showing solidarity was great and Singletary's smile and hand shake said it all was light hearted.

You know what. Honestly I have been a HUGE supporter of Smith from the beginning. He was constantly thrown under the bus and I always believed and still believe that his true raw and unexposed talent would never be exposed till he won a starting spot on another team, which is my worst fear. The past is the PAST. I am just stoked to have two QB's looking solid. Yeah I know it's just practice. It will play out in the preseason and then transition into the regular season. I just am going to put my ego aside and say let the best man win and hopefully he will produce some wins. I am once again putting my faith in the coach.. Let this be known as the beginning. Who ever starts, as the end of an old era and the birth of something great. No stone left unturned and no questions asked.

I highly doubt that brotha. They're just simply supporting another teamate that got a raw deal on 1 play. Nothing more, nothing less. You said you don't want to read into it too much......... so do yourself a favor ,and don't.
