If the fans have their way, I agree. My Twitter feed, is full of RANTS from Browns Fans, calling for his head !
They are not H.A.P.P.Y in Ohio …

This week's hot seat games

  • Broncos -7.5 @ Raiders. This one could get ugly fast and I can't see Carroll surviving this disastrous season.

Pete never should have rolled the dice with Geno. That cost him. But who saw Geno playing as poorly as he has played from the moment the season started? Was Geno ready to call it quits? And just came back for a year of abuse for a big payday? I do wonder. Because Geno hasn't looked anything like Geno this season.

I would really like to travel back in time to see who made the decision to pull the draft trigger on Russell Wilson. Who did that? Was it Pete? The GM whom Pete selected? Ownership?

That's going back aways now for somebody like me who's a dinosaur...haha! IIRC, though, think it was both Carroll and the GM, and they were universally roasted right after the draft.....a lot of the "so-called experts" really trashed the idea, partly because Seattle had just acquired Matt Flynn from Green Bay in the offseason. You just never really know for sure.

Pete seems to have hitched his wagon to Geno, and they may both be going over the cliff.....Pete will still have plenty of gum for the trip down, I suspect.

Could someone explain to me why Raheem Morris was given a second opportunity to be a head coach?

He did some good work as Rams DC and was able to rehab his stock.

Remember last year when half this site was saying O'Connell >>> Kyle?

Webzoners are the ultimate impulse influenced people on earth.

I saw fire Shanahan over McDaniel
Fire Shanahan over O'connell
Fire Shanahan over Demeco
Fire Shanahan over Kellen Moore
Over Pete Carrol, and the list goes on

No kidding. Shoot, I've seen some calling to fire Kyle and make Saleh the H.C. It's absolutely crazy to me. For whatever faults he may have, Kyle is a big reason this team is consistently competitive, and among the top teams consistently.
This week's games:

Ghost Pepper Hot Seat
  • Kevin Stefanski, Cleveland Browns (3-10). Browns +7.5 @ Bears. This one could get ugly unless the Browns defense keeps Caleb in check.
Hot Seat
  • Pete Carroll, Las Vegas Raiders (2-11). Raiders +11.5 @ Eagles. Raiders look like the worst team in the league.
  • Jonathan Gannon, Arizona Cardinals (3-10). Cardinals +9.5 @ Texans. Demeco has his team finishing strong.
Warm Seat
  • Mike McDaniel, Miami Dolphins (6-7). Dolphins +3 @ Steelers. McDaniel might be able to engineer another upset.
  • Raheem Morris, Atlanta Falcons (4-9). Falcons +4.5 @ Buccaneers. Morris desperate for a win to stay off the hot seat.
  • Zac Taylor, Cincinnati Bengals (4-9). Ravens -2.5 @ Bengals. Look for a Bengals upset and Taylor a bit closer to holding on to his job.

If he goes 3-1 with these last 4 tough games he probably keeps his job.

That would be interesting. At one point, they definitely looked like the worst team in the league. Candidly, I haven't watched as much lately, but they are at least competing better from what I see. Wonder what they will do @ QB?

As an aside, it's difficult to separate some week-by-week, there are a LOT of bad to really bad teams. Kudos, though, to Pete and the Raiders. Of course, they are now primed to pull a major upset. We shall see.
I think McDaniel has done enough to keep his job no matter what happens rest of the way . That team was dead in the water and came out of it .
