2025 NFL Heach Coach Hot Seat

11/30/2025 Update

Hot Seat
  • Jonathan Gannon, Arizona Cardinals (3-9). Cardinals are limping into the offseason likely looking for a new HC and QB.
  • Kevin Stefanski, Cleveland Browns (3-9). Poor special teams showing against the 49ers adds another nail in the coffin.
  • Mike McDaniel, Miami Dolphins (5-7). Win against the Saints likely has no impact on McDaniel's status.
  • Pete Carroll, Las Vegas Raiders (2-10). Not much to see here.
Warm Seat
  • Zac Taylor, Cincinnati Bengals (4-8). Big win in Burrow's return takes the heat off Taylor.
  • Sean McDermott, Buffalo Bills (8-4). Good win over the Steelers.
Fired
  • Brian Callahan, Tennessee Titans (10/13/2025)
  • Brian Daboll, New York Giants (11/10/2025)

McDaniel first I would think. He may not even last to the weekend!
Bills are -12.5 at home against the Dolphins

The sooner they fire him, the sooner we can try to bring him back in a senior advisory role at very least.

One teams trash is another teams treasure.

Dolphins, Giants, Titans, Cowboys, Bucs, and Falcons are the ones to watch.

Dolphins and Giants for obvious reasons.

Titans because Callahan needs to show some promise with his hand chosen QB of the future.

Cowboys because you can't predict what Jerry is going to do.

Bucs and Falcons - both have defensive minded HC that have straddled the "meh/avg" performance output. Bowles has made the playoffs for 3 straight years because of a weak NFC South division
Any good young players Dolphins or Giants would wna trade after firing there coaches?

last week odds

Remember when people on here we're saying McDaniel was a better HC than Shanahan

Miami Giants and Cleveland are locks. Colts and Cardinals could happen with bad seasons. Bengals too.

Dont see anyone else making a move.

Remember when Daboll won Coach of the Year for 2022 for a 9-7-1 Giants club making the playoffs when Kyle went 13-4 with Lance/Garoppolo/Purdy?

Remember how Stefanski won Coach of the Year - twice!

Typical over reaction form fans and media. A good OC can have a great year as a HC but eventually they have to face the reality of doing more than just calling plays.

Running an entire team. Keeping the coaching staff together. Replacing the constant turnover in player personnel. Getting along with the front office. Facing thre media after the game. Being the HC is way harder than being a coordinator which is why so many good OCs and DCs fail as a HC. Especially in their first try.
Todd Bowles???
