He flat out said we're going to see if Darnold can play, and that Darnold would have to improve to be viable for us, amongst many other similar things.

We can be done with this. Let other people argue their own points and you stick to your rubbernecking enjoyment in the Lance thread.

Maybe Lance will tear an ACL in camp so it can get super fun for ya.

That is not correct. Alex Smith made the Pro Bowl his first year with a new team it was his first Pro Bowl. Same with Gannon. Just not true mate.

Ill give you Gannon. So one guy compared the other list OTC gave ya.

Peyton Manning Tom Brady and Matt Scahub were the elected Pro Bowlers in 2013. I give zero credence to back ins. Alex in 2013 was the same guy from 2011. He didn't take the big step till he adjusted to the offense.

But hey if Darnold puts up Jimmy numbers for an entire season like you expect hed be in the Pro Bowl too. Calling your shot then faithful?

Alex smith was already playing well in SF before he left. It's not like he sucked and just left as a FA. He got hurt and Kap changed the game for a hot min. Then SF traded Alex.

Sam has been on two different teams with different coaches and players and has been benched multiple times. Got traded once then signed as a backup in SF.

How many QBs have been to multiple teams, stunk at both then became great on the 3rd try? Gannon after being in the league 11 yrs lol? If that's Sam's trajectory we get Gannon in his KC yrs

Rich Gannon. Except took til 4th team. To which his 4th team was clearly his best coached team. Ended up winning an MVP award.

Yeah I edited it. So we get Gannon in his KC days lol. Sweet.

I think you and I actually agree about Sam. There's just a lot of broken there and a lot that he himself hasn't improved upon since coming into the league. If he went to Seattle or any other team these same posters would be laughing about it and licking their chops to play against him.

I have no doubt he will be put in a much better system to not look completely lost. Kyle will help him there. His footwork isn't gonna magically be corrected. His vision is still gonna be poop. No one has ever told Sam to throw the football into triple coverage or directly at a LBer lol. That's on him.

If he does all that as a 9er at least we get the lolz on the message boards to look forward to. Gotta prioritize what's most important.

It's weird. He worked out with the same QB coach that Mahomes, Allen, Burrow and Watson all worked out with. You would think that would improve him over time. I guess just maybe it doesn't matter who you workout with.

my reply was on topic. It was about him not improving as you explained. This reply has nothing to do with Sam Darnold.

No you reply is right on par with a lot or your posts. Patronizing. We're in the sam daronld thread. My post was about Sam. Yet you're trying to push the narrative, naturally. My bad for thinking you'd want to have a normal convo. I forget your focus is usually on gotcha moments. I should have known better.

Palmer is as much an expert on the quarterback position as you could find in last 20 years. After being drafted out of UTEP, he played against some of the best pocket passers in the history of the game - Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and his brother, Carson. After his playing days ended in 2014, he started QB Summit, an NFL quarterback incubator that was attended by Sam Darnold, Joe Burrow, and -reigning Super Bowl champion - Patrick Mahomes.

My comment was about Sam Darnold

It was a jab at Lance and him working out with Mahomes. Don't act like it wasn't.

Of course it was. Par for the course for the obsessed.
here it is folks this is from Niners Nation

Riddick isn't the only analyst who's championed Darnold this offseason. There have been a couple of others who have gone as far as saying that Darnold could lead the 49ers back to the NFC Championship.

You could make a strong argument that Darnold, Trey Lance, or Brock Purdy could all easily lead the Niners to a deep playoff run. Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich brought up how Green Bay's staff was watching Brock Purdy this offseason and was quick to point out how many weapons Purdy has to throw to.
