Zone is mildly imploding with this decision , that is not far fetched due to Darnold playing better .
can't wait to see the zones implosion when Shanny decides to go with Sam over our dude Brock .

The issue isn't if Darnold can look good in practice. The issue is he s**ts his pants in games.

That's my concern too. Not saying Trey was better, just saying Sam has always done well in preseason but became a totally different guy in real games.

Because defenses become more complex and you have to read the defense while showing pocket presence.
He's never shown this ability on any sort of consistent basis.

I hear it a lot. I don't buy it. Sure in NYJ with no blocking and no one getting separation with a clowncar HC. We don't have any of that here.
He is also QB2. BP will be fine imo.

Purdy or Sam shouldn't struggle at all this year then… good news I guess

He's also never played with an OL worth a damn, few if any weapons to throw to and bad coaching on top of all of that.
I don't think Kyle is expecting a ton out of him but sees him as capable of running this particular offense for short periods of time.

I agree except the weapons thing, he had CMC and Moore in Carolina, he had some good weapons.

I think Kyle is going to be very disappointed if he has to play. Hopefully Brock can go 17 games so Sam can work with Griese to work on his flaws.

I'm thinking jimmy g limited offense at best. For a backup that's terrible, but let's pray we don't need it.

He had an injured CMC much of his time in Carolina. Last year I don't think he played any games with him.
He also changed OCs yearly other than two years with Dowell Loggains who is terrible.
I'm not expecting anything from Darnold but on this offense, with all the talent and with this playcaller, if he has to play, I wouldn't be shocked if he does so a lot better than many seem to be anticipating.

Would be surprised. Hard to struggle with a Pro Bowl roster and elite gameday HC. I think we have good days ahead.
