Less harsh, but this… lol.

I don't think the gap from Lance/Darnold to a replacement is significant enough to pass on a talent like CY or DH, especially this coming season.

Really? Some say Sam only needs the right coaching, while those who say Trey sucks based off the limited playing time he's had are clearly biased. Sam has done quite a lot at the NFL level to show that he may not turn out great, while Trey hasn't even had 1/4 season. Imagine throwing Peyton Manning on the scrap heap after his first 4 starts. Ignorant.

It looks like amateur hour when Trey is on the field. He is not a young Manning lol. More like a young Logan Thomas.

We all hope those two turn it around, but as of now they suck

Because trading the only guy on the team who knows the playbook better than Purdy is smart for a team that can't keep any QB healthy. I really hope you guys don't get your wish.

Lance would probably be the more enticing trade piece. We'd probably have to send a pick or two as well.

I'd trade either for Chase and never look back.

Danielle Hunter may be available as well. And given that Purdy played well last year, losing a bit of security at the QB position to land an underachieving talent like Young or a consistent pass rusher like Hunter would be a no brainer .

Not really.. I mean QB is the sore spot that cost us the SB. We lost 2018, 2020, and 2022 to QB injury. So naturally, we are checking all the boxes, to make it as good and deep a room as we can. I am not wanting to sacrifice that, and I doubt KS does or JL. If you want pass rush, you got guys floating around, that are good pass rushers. Ngakoue in his prime with 65 career sacks, waiting on a call, for an example. BP isn't even back yet. Say you deal out a QB, then he has a complication, and then you are up the creek so to speak.

Good point about good veterans. No need to waste roster or draft capital.

Both Sam and Trey are better than Josh Johnson. Come on.

Not sure I agree with that. Young has had horrid injury history, but that guy has tremendous physical ability. I think our coaches could get 12 sacks out of him. But as was pointed out to me a couple posts ago, there are quality pass rushers sitting there in free agency.

Who cares. Hoyer knew the playbook and was brought in to help install the offense and he sucks

We can do without Hoyer. We can do without Trey

If they are, it doesn't really matter. If any of them are starting for an extended time next year we arent winning a SB. Having Jimmy and Brock as backups last year has this fan base thinking we can go 4 deep and still compete lol

Peyton Manning had a whole lot of experience. Trey Lance has one year in college, then sat out a year, started two games in 2021 and 1 game and 1 drive in 2022. With all that missed time, Trey Lance isn't gonna just come out firing like Peyton Manning did. Also Peyton Manning took over a 3-13 team, while Lance is the project playing on a playoff team. In the end horrible comparison.

If we had Peyton Manning this fanbase would call him a bust just the same.

And at least there would be data to back that up vs a 3 game sample size with Trey.

The only objective take is there's not enough data for Trey, but it's hard to acknowledge that when you're biased as some of these posters are.

Where did I say Bust?? Even if I said he sucks doesn't mean I'm calling him a bust. Him not being worth three 1st round picks isn't calling him a bust.

You would think as much as you guys think Jimmy sucks, Trey Lance Mr laser rocket arm who can scramble like a gazelle could've easily taken the job from him. Now as right now he hasn't distance himself from Darnold or Purdy.

I'm glad you admit that you said Trey sucks.

Because I'm happy to admit I've never said Jimmy sucks... not once.

BTW I never said you called Trey a bust.

Thank you for proving my point even further!
