why isn't Sam talked about as a trade option? Team loses a QB in camp, why wouldn't he be an option? SF actually saves more cash this yr moving him.

Also heard Lance is still having accuracy issues and neither guy has made a serious move, yet, to challenge for the starting QB gig. TC should be interesting

How exactly would someone challenge for the starting QB gig in unpadded minicamp practices?

Yeah, relax guys. Let the process goes through Training Camp first, then we can start judging. Keep a keen eye, though. There'll be more dramas and more surprises to come, I'll bet.
A look at Darnold's Incentive package breakdown, https://49erscap.com/index.php/2023/05/31/breakdown-of-sam-darnolds-incentives/

Because that's the newest thing that "insider" said.

Same way Darnold hasn't separated from Lance in unpadded minicamp practices.

Who would also have next to no market.

I don't get the idea of trading Darnold, not sure someone wants to take on his incentive package, on top of guaranteed money in his deal, plus we NEED 3 QBs, well 4 with 1 on the PS(Brandon Allen most likely).

That was NYs take, and he probably just wants to clear a path for TL to get on the field. I was trying to think of historical examples of a team trading a FA signing, before that guy even got to week 1

Sam for Chase, do it do it

Lance would probably be the more enticing trade piece. We'd probably have to send a pick or two as well.

I'd trade either for Chase and never look back.

Danielle Hunter may be available as well. And given that Purdy played well last year, losing a bit of security at the QB position to land an underachieving talent like Young or a consistent pass rusher like Hunter would be a no brainer .

Not really.. I mean QB is the sore spot that cost us the SB. We lost 2018, 2020, and 2022 to QB injury. So naturally, we are checking all the boxes, to make it as good and deep a room as we can. I am not wanting to sacrifice that, and I doubt KS does or JL. If you want pass rush, you got guys floating around, that are good pass rushers. Ngakoue in his prime with 65 career sacks, waiting on a call, for an example. BP isn't even back yet. Say you deal out a QB, then he has a complication, and then you are up the creek so to speak.

All we know is Trey and Sam suck. Saying we need them is like saying we need Josh Johnson. If Brock is injured there is no Jimmy G/Brock to save the day like last year

If we can fleece a team with Sam or Trey I'm all for it
