ESPN is saying Wilkins is being released partially because he kissed a teammate on the head. Which if that's the case that's funny as hell.

They can slap ass and take showers together all day long but if you kiss a teammate on the head then you're a f*g lol.

Not surprising but still, he had high expectations

I remember the Cowboys cutting a draft pick in his first camp ... I feel like it was the first few days of camp and he was just gone. As much as we are critical of the 49ers draft choices, there have been some SPECTACULAR failures by all the other teams too. At least once a team failed to get their pick in in time in the first round ... can you imagine having 15 minutes and not managing to name a player in THE FIRST ROUND?

Vaguely remember. You just slide down one pick, though. You dont actually lose the pick?

Well, you slide until you make the pick. I don't remember the outcome but one year a team didn't get their pick in on time so they ended up taking a player one (or two) picks later, and the agent argued the player should be paid like he was picked at the original spot not where he was actually picked (like he was the 19th player picked but should be paid like the 17th player). Can't remember the team but it sounds like a Browns problem :)

It was the Vikings back in the early 2000's. I think two teams jumped them before they finally entered a pick.

I think it's happened more than once. But once you miss your deadline all the following teams (if they are paying attention) are lining up to get their pick in right after the previous pick is confirmed. If you take 17 minutes to get your pick in you might just be 5 picks later :)

You are right it was the Vikings ... they did it 2002 and 2003. The 2002 one was just them being later, but 2003 they submitted a trade to move down with the Ravens from the 7th to the 10th pick, but the Ravens didn't confirm it in time ... two other teams got their picks in before the Vikings made their pick 9th.

The Ravens did it in 2011 where a trade with the Bears was messed up by the Bears.

I kind of wish the NFL would go back to the 12 round draft :)

Aiyuk for McLaurin, straight up. No takesy backsies.

It just doesn't make sense to me. We'd have a huge cap hit and they'd still be paying Ayuik what McLaurin is asking. Then we'd have to give McLaurin a big deal

Aiyuk is either getting cut or his deal renegotiated before his contract explodes to $40M a year. The media quoted numbers for BA's contract are a joke the agent and 49erse collaborated for media messaging.
