Theory that isn't as crazy as it sounds on the surface: Tom Brady may be looking for a graceful way out of Tampa, and a graceful way into San Francisco. https://t.co/rnAV0hN1N9

So it's just you basing it off thinking he can't keep up his quality of play (which people continually said when he was 38, 39, 40+, etc). Now does that mean you're wrong? No, not necessarily. It's possible he could just drop like a rock, but that is extremely unlikely. If we could get brady, you do it.

Exactly. Its a total win-win situation if we get Brady. We win now and Trey gets more time to develop. I think Trey will get us into the playoffs but not super confident he can win us a SB in 2022
More time to develop lol....doing what? playing 3rd string QB scout stuff again? He's gotta play football at this point to actually get better at football.
They made their choice with Lance. Now it's time to play the kid and see what he can do. If he's the worst thing ever Brady will be sitting there waiting for the call in 2023.
Not if we look like dog sh*t and possible regression. A lot can happen in a year. The NFL is an act now results now league. 1 full year is like 1 week in the NFL
Possible regression happens man, that was a chance they took when they went all in with Lance. If they have a less then stellar yr (which according to some is not winning a SB) BUT it helps with the growth of our young ass QB so be it. You gotta play football to get better at it, I don't know why people have such a hard time understand and getting that.
It's not step on the field and be great from day 1 in most cases. It's progress and improving.

In this instance I am not wrong in the least. We have Trey Lance and he will be the quarterback of the 49ers' team that finally wins Lombardi #6.
Brady was great. I like Brady a lot. We had our chances to bring him in when we should have and we didn't. This is not a time where we should.
When we actually get into the numbers, we need what money we will have after the Jimmy G trade to shore up the roster around Trey.
We have questions on 80% of the starting O line and questions about depth therein. We have too many free agents we need to hold onto.
If we bring in Brady we will lose pieces around him and take a risk that at 45 his skills have not diminished in any significant way.
At this juncture, based upon his age and our salary cap situation, I would not do it. I find the notion unrealistic and utterly ridiculous.

Folks, more and more dirt are coming out about how Shanny pi*ssed off Tom. First it was the article on Shanny being insecure and clashing with Tom in the 2020 interview.
Now, they are saying Tom is holding a grudge against the 9ers. I don't know what is what anymore?

Not sure I really believe all of it. I know when he said "you're sticking with that MFER over me" it's been recently debunked about him going to the Dolphins and them choosing Fitz over him.

All I will say is this if Shanny and Lynch won't or can't get Tom to suit up for us in 2022, there is a good chance at least part of these stories are true. Otherwise, I just don't see how they would rather play Lance over the GOAT especially after the Rams have just won the Super Bowl.

Agreed, I really hope we can land Brady. I believe he "retired" because he wanted to come to SF, and Kyle better not say no twice. The Niners will be cursed forever if we turn down the 2nd GOAT.
Now we are hearing reports about him having a grudge against the Niners. So that part makes me nervous. But maybe it's scam so the Buccs believe it. I can only dream

Me too. The dude threw for 5,300+ yards and scored 43 passing TDs just last season. You are not going to get any QB with a better production than that.
Let's just hope all these stories are BS. If not, Shanny will have a lot to answer to. This 9ers squad is ready to win now and has been ready for quite sometime. We cannot afford to waste any more time! Let's get Tommy and go for a legit Super Bowl run!!
