Got the guy I was hoping for. Biggest upside but the most raw. I love that we are keeping Jimmy as well, Lance was the guy who needed to sit behind someone the most of the prospects. Look at Steve Young for example. He was extremely athletic and raw and played horribly for Tampa. Getting time to refine his skills behind Montana while working with Niner coaches turned him into an all time great Niner.

I watched Good Morning Football this morning. Towards the end of the show it almost seemed like they were implying that there would drama in the locker room. Even if Jimmy is a little wounded from this I expect him to be nothing but professional. In addition, this team dosent perpetuate the environment of cliques and controversy that were the Harbaugh years. I really think this team is built with guys who have the type of mentality to handle this.

I was SCARED we'd take this young man after we traded up, but he gradually grew on me to the point that when the chatter Wednesday night started to strongly point to him I could barely concentrate on work yesterday I was so excited. I love the kids make-up, skills, ceiling . . . everything.
BUT, my favorite part might be the media puking all over itself about Mac Jones with Kyle sitting back like Lard Ass in Stand By Me just watching with satisfaction. So good!

Allbright said that Denver liked Lance a ton as well...I think that was the only QB they would have taken if there (clearly because they passed on Fields/Jones).

Yea - I believe he mentioned that Denver may even move up for Lance if he Niners didn't draft him.

I am just really glad that Niners kept quiet about it and moved up to 3 when no one expected.
