And, yes - Atlanta really liked Lance (and they really liked him for a while too - hence the tweet) and would have drafted him at 4 if we didn't.
Allbright said that Denver liked Lance a ton as well...I think that was the only QB they would have taken if there (clearly because they passed on Fields/Jones).
Yea - I believe he mentioned that Denver may even move up for Lance if he Niners didn't draft him.
I am just really glad that Niners kept quiet about it and moved up to 3 when no one expected.

Lets put something in perspective. The following teams who drafted after the Niners either had immediate or near future QB needs. None of them opted to draft Fields:
Falcons, Broncos, Lions, Panthers.
Outside of the Panthers who did not attend Lance's pro day, there was purported interest from the Falcons (the reason we leapfrogged them), and the Broncos. While Niner fans were enamored with Fields, the NFL professionals had eyes on Lance.

It's not that bad. At 13:35 is such a money throw, even though an easy drop. The zippy passes to the outside is gifted. He makes them look easy. The same arm strength can cause him to bite off more than he can chew type of throws. He's young. He'll learn. He'll be ok with Kyle.

Good point. I thought ATL might take Fields, then I thought DEN would. I guess he wasn't the amazing, sought after prospect I thought he was. At least in the eyes of those GMs that passed on him.

Like I said if people want to see a bad game go watch Allen vs Boise State or Mahomes vs Iowa state. Go watch Herbert vs in a handful of games in 2019.
This kid is gonna get so much better with this coaching staff and roster.
