Definitely buy that it was Trey all along. Mac Jones never made sense. I thought they'd go Fields, but I posted a while ago that if there's a surprise pick that its Lance and not Jones.Pretty sure if they loved Mac they woulda just stayed at 12 as he's not the type of QB you trade future 1sts for even if you love him. The Pats got good value for him at 15

Anyway, its Trey Day now. It's good to have him on the team. He was definitely the scariest pick for me but its crystal clear why they like him. Theres nothing our offense can't do with him on the field. Since he hasn't played a lot and offseasons are still shaky I. really glad we still have Jimmy and Lance can learn for a while. Exciting times.

I want to see an open Qb competition - I think Trey can beat out Jimmy right now.

Have no effing clue where Kap comes from. Obviously someone who has absolutely no clue what they are looking at. This league is in serious trouble if he is legit

Trey Lance wants to get his career off by watching and learning. Mac Jones is going to compete for and win the starting job in training camp, and he fell to NE at 15. Zach Wilson will start day 1. Trevor will start day 1. We got a "raw" deal, pun intended. Lance may not be even ready to be the backup. Patrick Mahomes could have started if they wanted him to. He had three years in college and over 1000 more pass attempts than Lance. Unfortunately, we traded a lot and drafted someone who be starting anytime soon. Hopefully he will be shelved for at least a year. We have to ride Garoppolo and Sudfeld or Rosen this year if we want to have a chance at the playoffs. If Garoppolo does get hurt again it'll be just like last year. We really haven't helped ourselves in the immediate future. If Lance does start next year it will be a year of growing pains at least, and most likely we won't make the playoffs.

I feel like after Lance got picked last night, 98% of 49ers fans were pumped and 98% of NFL DCs had trouble sleeping.

It'll be fun to watch for sure. Check out Kurt Warner's breakdown of Trey to see the accuracy issues people talk about. I think consistency with accuracy will need to come from reps.

Not too mention Beck probably put him through a lot of Kyle's concepts while training with him. I won't be surprised at all if he takes over by week 10 or sooner

Yeah he wont gets reps sitting on the bench in 2021. He already didnt play this last season. He will be more stale than a bag of Lays potato chips left open for a month
