but i'm not sure where are you going with your response, but the convo was ZW & the 49ers. I listed everything on what happened to lead ZW was the main target until the Jets spoiled Kyle's plans. That was my point. Kyle has gotten hung up on moves that don't work out. This has happened before with Kirk Cousins

Yes I know. My response to that was it's incorrect and based on bad information like it not being all but known the Jets were going to take Wilson when we made the trade, that Kyle went to his pro day and the pro day itself was a tipping point due to their 'excitement', that Trey Lance, and the other two prospects, weren't on the 49ers radar before the trade, that conversations after the trade among fans and media were at all centered around Wilson, that it was assumed Saleh would go defense at the time of the trade, and on and on.

Many many links have now been shown that show otherwise. It was understood that we would need the two spot for a real chance to draft Wilson as was shown in actuality.

It really doesn't matter anyway. It's one of the worst trades in franchise history and your explanation for how it went down, if it were true, would be an even greater measure of general incompetence than what it actually was.

There's nothing to support that Wilson was their guy, and it was well known the Jets were going to draft him. Information that would have been easily discernible in their effort to trade up. Look how they operated after they made the trade.
You're preaching to the choir.
Will this guy be a back up or out of the nfl?

It's tough to say. He's at a point in his career where he is a vet by accrued time yet still a second-year player in terms of reps/playing time. This isn't a good look for a QB. Teams either want backups who are vets and can play backup role OR developmental prospects as their QB2. I think some team will still give him a look and a chance to compete, but right now imo he's looking at a Josh Dobbs-esque career but a bit more upside.

Out.

He'll probably be playing as a backup QB under Jim Tomsula in the near future.

What is Trey's net worth? Did he make a lot of $ from his rookie deal? It will be interesting to see what teams think about him, and if he even wants/needs to play again.

I think he made approximately 35 million from his rookie deal, but I have no idea what his net worth is.

One of two things can be true here you're dead wrong and aren't willing to admit it or Shanahan & Lynch are two of the biggest idiots if not the biggest idiots in the NFL for trading up to 3 for a guy that was not only not guaranteed to be there but was pretty much a lock to go 2 it's as simple as that.

I think he's likely correct we didn't trade up for Lance either.

I don't even see Dobbs. Many teams would do well.to have Dobbs as their number 2. Trey isn't even that. He can make a 90 man roster but doubt he makes a 53. He should go to the UFL to get real experience under his belt if he wants an NFL career.

I'm not saying Dobbs as in Dobbs right now. I mean Dobbs career as a whole. Dobbs wasn't really on anyones radar before a couple of seasons ago and was close to being out of the league.

Either UFL or ELF.
