Shanny throwing fuel on the fire. Love it.

It's the smart thing to do. I was shocked with the rhetoric before from him and Lynch, it created all this chaos and uncertainty - instead Of everyone being supported and talked highly of.

not saying they purposely did it or anything like that, but it just leaves the door open for all kinds of speculation. That's why I thought something was going on, I didn't understand why they didn't talk glowingly and confident from the get go.

That's actually great news. Hopefully that's the reason he was so inaccurate. I hope he looks better this camp and much improved

thats a long ass time for a finger injury to linger. Lol damn

Sounds crazy but when you think about it a bum finger on the throwing hand would destroy the entire mechanic. I love the competition and expect good things.

Oddly enough if Purdy is good to go out the gate and doesn't play well I can see Lance chants starting up.

Yeah a messed up finger is a major issue. That helps explain why he missed so many throws so bad. He already had some accuracy issues and that extrapolated it.

i think that's great news because maybe he's not as inaccurate as he looked and if it was his finger that was causing the most problems, that's very solvable. Giving me a lot more hope for him.

For sure. The best vibe here would be us saying - Damn, who do we friggin start they both look good etc.

Its the dream problem of every HC to have two viable QB's. Lets hope Trey shows some serious improvement.

Yeah, absolutely. I wouldn't of expected that finger issue to linger that long. That helps explain things though cause one of the reasons I've been so critical of him is cause I was "f**k man, this guy is ridiculously inaccurate" lmao

i really hope this positive news rings true and he makes large strides because that's a great situation for us to be in. I still think Brock will start week 1 but if Lance is healthy - it would be cool to see trick packages with Lance like the saints did with taysum hill. Just more weapons and packages to try and score with.

This is news to me. Yes, I knew of the finger injury, but I didn't know about the hairline fracture and how it didn't heal right. If Kyle can transplant Purdy's brain into Trey's body, oh wow! Lights out man, he'd going to win a ton of championships. BIG *if* though...

I believe he would have gotten to a level where he did similar stuff (to Purdy). He missed that (opportunity). Brock came in and did it. Now, I truly believe Trey can go do that. But Brock's already done it. And that's a very good thing for us to have.

Isn't that what it all boils down to? People like to s**t on Trey at seemingly every opportunity, but it's always been more about what Brock did than anything to do with them being disappointed in Trey's development (outside of the unfortunate injuries).

I thought Purdy played so well that he deserved and should be QB1, he did what I was hoping Lance would. I wasn't aware of the finger injury though - I was also frustrated with his development but this sheds light on it, because I felt like from year 1-2 he didn't really show growth, now we know why. It also helps explain why his accuracy was so off - so I'm much more optimistic that his accuracy will improve now.

that's good news that this is the best Lance had looked since being a 49er. I wonder who he would say has the best mechanics between Lance, darnold, and Purdy. Or if they all have good mechanics.

This isnt true. I know if I thought my 3 firsts QB could run a offense scoring 34 ppg, he would be the starter going into the season. Mr. Irrelevant would be an awesome trade piece.

Instead Darnold is here and it's a competition lol. Kyle is lying when he says he thinks Trey could do what Brock did, his actions show it all

It's hard to show growth when you don't play. That's what we've been trying to say. I brought up the finger injury a couple times (and how he had to change how he held/threw the ball) and people just laughed at it.

there's no reason to move him. We will see how the season goes. A lot can happen between now and a year from now. We all know that

he has to say that to try and puff his trade value, Shanny can't say he's a pos, he's in pump n dump mode right now and will be until TL gets traded
LOL Shanny pimpin TL so he can get a trade done... we are going to see this a lot until he gets moved before the season starts
