I was a Mac Jones fan and really wish we had it... because Mac was very accurate!! Treys passes mostly seem to be either too high or wrong shoulder .. or his players have to fall making the catch which doesn't allow for YAC!

Trey's main issue is accuracy and they say if you fix his footing / mechanics they you can fix his accuracy and ball placement .... something Mac was far superior

my question... which is easier to fix?! Arm strength or accuracy ??

Sounds like what they said of Jimmy when he got traded to the team 😆

When we traded for Jimmy he came in, we went undefeated and had the best offense in yards gained per drive in the NFL after being one of the worst in that category.

If Trey Lance can replicate early Jimmy...while adding the things that Jimmy physically couldn't do then we'd be in terrific shape.

Great points! and this is one of the reasons a great QB is a great cap saver. Good QBs can elevate the rest of the offense. Kyle can draft low round picks for offense and devote the high round picks for the defense. It would be so neat to see if Juan Jennings and and Richie James can go from zero to hero playing under Trey Lance.

Mac Jones went all the way to 15 for a reason. That should tell you what you need to know.

Neither is easy to fix but you can work on mechanics to improve both...but arm strength is capped off at some point due to physical ability. Accuracy isn't god given imo. It's taught and practiced.

why? Because I'm not ready to crown a kid who played in North effing Dakota against a bunch of nobodies the next Steve Young like everyone else? I have my opinion on him and there's nothing some Internet forum anonymous can say to change that. But they'll be plenty of time for him to do that whenever he sees the field, but it won't be this year unless Jimmy gets hurt

What is your opinion on him and did you want to draft or bring in a possible future FQB?

Of all the QBs, he's the one I wanted the least, would've rather drafted Pitts over Lance, he would've been a week 1 starter and an immediate impact, while Lance will ride the bench for the season while he molds into an NFL QB.I really like Jimmy despite all the nasty hate he gets, and I have no doubt the 49ers can win a Super Bowl with him at the helm.

With that said I trust Kyles opinion over mine, so just wait and see where this bold move takes us, I hope it's worth it

Going on the 15th spot doesn't tell you what you need to know. That's like me refuting by saying look at the top picks for QBs in the recent drafts. It doesn't look good.
