His accuracy as I've stated i don't think will improve. IMO you've either got it or you don't. His penchant for looking for big plays instead of taking (and hitting) layups I'm willing to live with. That's the hand you're usually dealt with mobile QBs.

I am viewing him as his own QB. My expectations are just lower than yours or others.

This right here tells me everything I need to know about your opinion. You knew our new QB would struggle and would not improve before you even knew who the new QB would be. What a f**king joke.

Why can't it improve? Accuracy is based on timing and footwork. Those are absolutely two things that he CAN improve on. Accuracy is a learned trait not something your born with. Totally disagree

Everything a person can practice can improve. That is quite literally the purpose of practicing. To believe a person can perform an act over and over and over again, but never improve shows a fundamental lack of understanding.

This. I'm gonna come out and say it first, Krizay's opinion of Trey will never improve.

The step up he's having this year from last season is crazy and very impressive. Though adding a top flight WR helps.

I agree, accuracy overall isn't something you drastically improve at either. Props to Allen.

Yes and my opinion on that has changed the more I listen to QB coaches and gurus. It's all about understanding coverages, footwork, timing/reps. You're not born an accurate thrower.

Bottom line: literally every QB to play the game improved their accuracy through practice.

Even if you practice something constantly, eventually you will cap at your natural limit. Most NFL QBs, especially after a few years in the league, either have their habits ingrained to the point where it's difficult to undo or change or they've hit the ceiling of their natural ability and 1000s of additional reps might only produce minimal improvement, if any. Lance's lack of experience is both a blessing and a curse, because obviously it sucks that he isn't already a more refined product, but it also means he still has a lot of room for growth. With him being only 22 and without a ton of reps in his career, it doesn't seem that unbelievable that he could improve his accuracy by a significant degree as he refines his mechanics.

You're a f**king joke.

What my post was saying is trey is struggling with his accuracy in which I knew he would. While also believing no QB can improve their accuracy.

The
before you even knew who the new QB would be
Was just a play on his words
1988 Steve Young and 1992 Steve Young aren't even in the same stratosphere from an accuracy standpoint. If Steve had it all along why did he waste half his career.

Fair enough.

Mine hasn't changed because outside of Allen I really haven't seen it. Dozens of QBs have tried and failed.

Completely agree. So how likely is it that Trey has hit his peak in such a short time?

So Steve Young and Josh are the only 2 players mentioned over the course of 34 years
You can definitely improve accuracy over time and practice. I don't believe you can go from Tim Tebow to Drew Brees but you can can improve enough. If they get Trey up to 65% they are golden

Short time? He's been working on the same things you guys said he need to work on with the gurus for 3 years now. Bullets start flying in 2 weeks so he won't get to work on it fir another 6 months. So it will be his 4th straight year working on mechanics. At what point do we just say it is what it is?

Drew Brees. Took him 4 years to figure things out.

Drew Brees basically went from Tim Tebow to Drew Brees.
