Name your top 10 Qbs today. You will perhaps find 1 pure pocket passer. The history of the NFL doesn't matter today. It doesn't matter that in 1970 everyone was a pocket passer. It doesn't matter that in most years RBs were always selected top 5. Things change. Change can be scary but it's happening. And I think if you don't have that athleticism, you better have an absolutely elite arm or you'll be left behind.

Yeah and when you need to win and make a play a guy like Jimmy s**ts the bed. He can't play out of structure. Meanwhile you got Mahomes on a 3rd and 15 running back 15 yard and throwing a 50 yard pass off his back foot with Buck all over him. that's the difference between winning and losing.
Stafford is an elite thrower that isn't gonna fold like a lawn chair if there's pressure up the middle. He proved that vs SF.
we want a QB that can do ALL of it. Someone that actually makes everyone better around him, not dependent of everyone else having to execute perfectly to make s**t work.
My point isn't Jimmy is better than Mahomes. What I'm saying is if Mahomes had Brady's mechanics and footwork, he would be a better QB. Again, sweet highlights though, I know that's what matters to you guys.
And if Brady could run around evading rushers, then chuck it 40 yards off his backfoot, he'd be a better QB. It'd be a very sweet highlight, and very entertaining, which is what the NFL is - an entertainment business.

Stafford tried to fold, and Tartt dropped the ball, he is who he has always been, he just had a better team around him than in Detroit. Also, you have a bad habit of trying to blame a single player for team collapses. We lost that superbowl because our pass rush got gassed and couldn't get pressure on Mahomes. They blew a 10 point lead in the fourth quarter, that is not solely on Garoppolo, though he certainly played his part in it.

Yeah that statement was completely wrong 😂 Stafford in FACT did fold. Every time he played us he was playing against a few backups on defense as well. Especially in the secondary which he should have NO excuse to fold against us but yet he did. Both times he played us in the regular season he got beat, he threw the critical interception against us in week 18 that allowed us to get in the playoffs. He also threw two interceptions against us the first game at our home when he got absolutely destroyed and looked like garbage. He did fold twice. In the playoffs he was very close to throwing another two interceptions in tartt dropping the easiest pick any of us have ever seen.
So yes, he did fold against us and as a matter of a fact this is the qb that LED the NFL in interceptions and pick sixes. Stafford folded plenty of times with pressure up the middle. Against us, the Titans and many other teams throughout the year. Just a really really bad example

I'm really pleased by the all the current players showing their support for Lance in the media.
I know it's a case of 'what do you expect them to say' but it's still cool - common themes as well around hard work - the kid is a grinder and has the respect of the team.
Hugely exciting.

Oh I'm fully aware that they've had to dumb the game down for the average fan today. Plus fantasy football is such a huge money maker, they're catering to that crowd.

Montana ran around and made one of the biggest plays in NFL history making it a dumb play back when the NFL was smart.

In fairness, that play was practiced A LOT. So it wasn't really running around.
