also after reading more on this guy it sounds like he might actually be telling the truth. His buddy married into the DeBartolos & he gets to go to all the mixers.

this is where he said he saw him

Literally what I've been saying…

Well it's not that it should be dismissed because it doesn't fit someone's ideal scenario. Contrary to popular belief, the 49ers don't care about a webzone's posters opinion.

It should be dismissed because IMO it's clear that the 49ers want teams to believe they will keep Jimmy in hopes of upping his trade value.
Whether the front office leaked that information or not is irrelevant. They want this idea of them keeping Jimmy to be the narrative. There is no strategic advantage to anoint Trey the starter at this point.

King isn't breaking news like he used to he's just another pawn now. Like he was with the Mac Jones rumor.

Yeah man, all that stuff is over blown all the time...I can actually see Kyle saying that to this guy which is funny. Anyway it actually sounds like this is legit.

Think of the arm fitness!? Think of the children!

Sources and players on the team told me (trust me I know people) that after that throw he should have been taken out of the game due to arm fatigue…but we weren't winning at that point. He had to tough it out…he's still icing his arm to this day, so I've been told by coaches and players
Eh, that throw above was nice but it looks better because Aiyuk got all that YAC.

Throwing before the break from the far hash, 12 yard Out . Converted 3rd & 3.

That shows great anticipation and excellent pre-snap reading.

Yes but the actual throw was s**t. I'm not doubting Lance's ability to read the field. Seems he has the intellect and work ethic to get there. But damn aiyuk had to basically scoop it up and fell on his ass. That's my biggest problem.

No, it wasn't. It was slightly off, and this, being a timing throw, may have simply been due to lack of practice together.

Ignore the offseason noise. Its all pure speculation until decisions are made in training camp and Trey is actually on a football field.

Well that's boring. It's more fun to be concerned about Trey's consistently underwhelming arm fitness.
Fixed it for you...

The other part is we aren't sure the depth at which Jennings is supposed to run his route. My guess is that this is an underthrown ball, but only the coaching staff knows. Whatever, WRs get paid to adjust to the throw and while Jennings did have to reach down to catch this, I like that deep Outs from the far hashmarks are back on the menu.

It may have been tipped. It looks like #90 got a finger or two on it.

Whatever some of these people are saying with so-called "insider knowledge" about Trey's off-season preparation are talking straight out of their asses and out of other people's asses. I'm not comparing him to Josh Allen but that guy during his rookie season when he started almost the whole time couldn't be determined whether he was going to be just OK or super Duper good. It can't be properly evaluated what the hell Lance's progress is until he has at least a couple seasons worth of starting.

So Lance couldn't throw it over the defensive lineman? That's actually the first sign of subpar arm fitness.

Lol wtf is arm fitness? I haven't been following the thread. Are people worried about his conditioning?

If that happened, contrary to what someone might think, it shows some growth. As pointed out by the loathed Jack Hammer, in college Trey had this tendency to hold the ball until he had a very clear and wide open passing lane.

One encouraging sign is his improvement from the HOU first half to the second half of the game. He looked more comfortable as the game went on. I know it was HOU but it's still nice to see that getting game reps resulted in a smoother performance. His first start (week 5 ARI) and his second start (week 17 HOU) were so far apart that there wasn't any chance to take any rhythm he might have had from the first start and transfer it to the week 17 start.

All I want to see is flashes in moments and improvement as the season progresses. He's going to look like a first year starter and once DCs hone in on any weaknesses midyear 2022, he'll struggle a bit and will have to adjust. It's going to be fun monitoring his development this season.
