I particularly liked that deep ball to Deebo that keeps getting posted. The one where Deebo had to slow down and wait for it. Had it been thrown by someone with a "low ceiling" it's all that would be talked about. But Trey threw it so it was a great play.

You should probably watch the All-22 of that play again.

It's about 8 minutes into the video.

Besides the throw itself, it's the mentality to go for the explosive that will change this offense, for better or for worse. Earlier in this game I saw him misread a play concept side, and instead target Aiyuk on a Go route up the sideline for an incompletion. It's the big play mentality that will hopefully allow the passing offense to get more chunk plays and force safeties to back the f up.

That video above does not have every play by Lance vs HOU. This play below occurs after the Aiyuk completion @4:17 of the video above. This is the play I was talking about how he misread the concept side and opted to go for it with Aiyuk 1v1.
Three level flood on the concept side vs Cover 3 with JJennings (#2) open on the intermediate route. This route combination is designed to beat Cover3. My point isn't that he sucks, it's that he has a go for it mentality that his arm allows for. At some point the 49ers will finally benefit from a ticky tack defensive pass interference call.

Tbf in this situation there's like 20 seconds left on the clock and no timeouts left and Aiyuk is one on one on the outside with no safety help. I think game situation wise it probably was better to throw this route

It was 14 seconds left in the half, down 7-0. Trey took the end zone shot by placing the ball where only his receiver can catch it or it's incomplete out of bounds. The flood routes opened up well after he threw to Aiyuk

That's good situational awareness, and was probably how the play was intended.

And also a really nice throw.

I particularly liked that play too. With our other QB, that would have been checked down to a running back. So yeah, it was a great play.

Thank you THL. I have been saying this the entire Jimmy era. We see time after time other teams benefitting from a garbage PI call downfield that totally changes a drive/game. We almost never got the benefit of one of those calls. I expect attacking downfield with Lance will allow us to benefit from substantially more bad calls than we ever got with Jimmy.

Or worse, he could have completely missed the receiver. How many times did we see juice running completely free only to get overthrown on what should have been a slam dunk.

It was pretty evident vs the colts. Two bad offenses except one QB was willing to give his receivers a shot. Wentz won that game purely due to PIs.

Ah ok. I didn't know the game situation. The all22 I have has no timeclock.

We'll see. Relying on refs to make calls isn't the best strategy IMO unless you are a an upper echelon of QBs like Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes etc that most often than not get those calls.

To your point, we did get a very favorable call against the Texans that I'm sure their fans weren't very happy about. Hopefully, that continues going forward lol

I do blame The Brick After Brick Brothers however, they had a chance to trade for Brady and did not... had a chance to trade for Aaron or Staff and did not...

Instead, they traded two extra 1st rounders for Trey, who may still turn out to be GREAT but we all know NOT any time soon.

It worked out for Tampa, and also worked out for the Lambs... the Lambs, and their front office and coaches, they don't care how many picks they gave up for Staff... heck,

they wanted to win a SUPER BOWL and gave themselves a chance..

No they didn't. Stop saying things that are wrong as facts.

Do you realize how much had to fall into place for the Rams to win it last season? Stafford went to the Rams because there was a relationship with McVay.

The only mistake we made in hindsight that was actually realistic was not bringing in Brady but at the time it was easy to see why we didn't make the move. We just went to the SB. Tom Brady was going to be 43 and coming off his worst season. The team decided to try to keep continuity to keep winning vs taking a chance on however long Brady had left.

It didn't work out but it's easy to understand why if you actually use logic and not stupid hindsight.

And you know this for a fact how? I'll wait

Because the Packers were not trading him to us. Hell LaFleur got all pissed off we even tried.

YOU can say all you want regarding pieces falling to places.. but the fact is that TBay won the Super Bowl and so did Staff with the Rams..

HOW you gonna argue that, when all you do is ARGUE about Grappy being the one slows down KS10's offense /?

Bc he's still a Packer and they just extended him.

Your post would make sense if they would've traded Rodgers. You don't think other teams besides us were interested?

This is spot on. You can make upnall the reasons in the world as to what had to go right.

As it stands currently, the rams did what they needed to do and they have a ring to show for it. So did the bucs. Shanahan is 5 years in and we are still waiting. And now he has another 4 years to develop trey. We better hope trey is great.
