Can't just be a good throw

Can't wait for the season to get going so we can put this "Trey's not ready" nonsense from portions of the media and Trey's detractors to bed.
It's clear that the regime would not be trying to trade Jimmy G if they lacked faith in Trey's ability to start and lead the team (to success).
Given what we've seen on the field and the story on Trey's work ethic I feel like our decades long search for a legit FQB is over, but in the unlikely event I am wrong I'll eat crow.

Great question. Reposting from earlier in thread...
I just got back from the lab and I have run 10,000 simulations of maths/data Cynthia Frelund style. Here is what I am coming up with:
Lance 2022 stats
16 starts
4592 pass yds
42 pass TDs
11 INTs
496 rush yds
5 rush TDs

Nate. We got the top spot locked up at that point

Ah, I see the new narrative already developing. When Lance completes a tight throw into a small window it will be because he is an 'elite' talent and trusts his receivers to make the play. But the multiple times Jimmy has made that exact same throw it is because he was reckless with the ball and his receiver bailed him out. Got it.
Overblown. Jimmy rarely made tight window throws. We all know this, but some refuse to admit it.

Lol who the hell is saying that about Jimmy? If he throws balls like with anticipation then it's a good pass.

I called bust from day one. Still do. Dont care. Everybody wants to give a million excuses for Trey and how raw he is. We'll see, but where there's smoke there's fire. We're gonna have a Super Bowl caliber team everywhere except where it matters most but that'll be okay because of all Trey's supporters' excuses. And of course Jimmy is just as bad but for different reasons. We should've just traded for Rodgers. Worked for the Lambs.

Shanahan points out Jimmy Garoppolo makes many tight-window throws that only a few NFL QBs can make, and with that ability comes a greater danger of INTs to dropping linebackers.

"That is the risk-reward with it," Shanahan said, lauding Garoppolo for minimizing the "risk" part

To Each His Own... nothing's wrong if you think Baby Face will be a BUST.... that's your take and he's gonna have to prove it to his doubters..
I do blame The Brick After Brick Brothers however, they had a chance to trade for Brady and did not... had a chance to trade for Aaron or Staff and did not...
Instead, they traded two extra 1st rounders for Trey, who may still turn out to be GREAT but we all know NOT any time soon.
It worked out for Tampa, and also worked out for the Lambs... the Lambs, and their front office and coaches, they don't care how many picks they gave up for Staff... heck,
they wanted to win a SUPER BOWL and gave themselves a chance..
No they didn't. Stop saying things that are wrong as facts.
Do you realize how much had to fall into place for the Rams to win it last season? Stafford went to the Rams because there was a relationship with McVay.
The only mistake we made in hindsight that was actually realistic was not bringing in Brady but at the time it was easy to see why we didn't make the move. We just went to the SB. Tom Brady was going to be 43 and coming off his worst season. The team decided to try to keep continuity to keep winning vs taking a chance on however long Brady had left.
It didn't work out but it's easy to understand why if you actually use logic and not stupid hindsight.

My expectation/hope for this first year with Lance at the controls is that he will be close to as good as Garoppolo has been. The reality is this team was on the very cusp of two Super Bowls with JG as the starter. If he can do that, I'll be delighted. So, while that may have a bit of a pessimistic tone to it, so be it. Lance still has that experience barrier to cross. As Steve Young pointed out, it is not about physical ability. It is about the brain learning to process what the eyes see and the arm then linking it all up. Only with experience do those things work well. That, and the IOL, cause me to be hesitant in my expectations.
