Do you realize how much had to fall into place for the Rams to win it last season? Stafford went to the Rams because there was a relationship with McVay.
The only mistake we made in hindsight that was actually realistic was not bringing in Brady but at the time it was easy to see why we didn't make the move. We just went to the SB. Tom Brady was going to be 43 and coming off his worst season. The team decided to try to keep continuity to keep winning vs taking a chance on however long Brady had left.
It didn't work out but it's easy to understand why if you actually use logic and not stupid hindsight.

Because the Packers were not trading him to us. Hell LaFleur got all pissed off we even tried.
YOU can say all you want regarding pieces falling to places.. but the fact is that TBay won the Super Bowl and so did Staff with the Rams..

We LITERALLY TRIED to trade for Rodgers... and were denied.
I do wonder if there are actual 49ers fans on this board who make claims like this. How can you be a 49er fan and not know what the 49ers have done and tried to do at the QB position? It boggles the mind.
