i think they were only 4 designed QB runs in that game outside the qb sneak

All of them sucked.

also did you guys see the video from last week where Trent essentially pushed 6 defensive linemen making a block. Seriously the guy needs some love on these threads cus he does incredible s**t almost weekly. We upgraded from Staley a hall of famer and got an even better guy at the position. It really is a site to behold

He should have 1 or 2 designed runs max a game. Should only run by him scrambling when no one is open.

that wouldn't be utilizing his skillset and would take away the RPO plays which i think can be huge in our offesne

A tale of 2 QBs:

Stupid and meaningless as always.

I don't think so. It's not a knock on Jimmy, but it's just proof against the idea here that Kyle's offense always looks like the Jimmy chart and that it isn't just a matter of Kyle tailoring his offenses to what his QBs are good at.

Where's NCommand when you need him? LoL

I thought he did good avoiding the rush while still give himself some time to look downfield. Not just head down and run.

Agree. He avoided the rush and bought himself time to find an open receiver.

Once the WRs start practicing the scramble drill with more emphasis, big plays will start happen.

Huge huge upgrade
So far this season... Trey has 5TDs 2ints... and 600+ yards passing.
I was never too high on lance as our pick.
but I 100% definitely did not like Trevor Lawrence for some reason. He just didn't seem good or worth that #1 pick.

fields, lance, jones I had no clue about therefore was just hoping for the best. I actually thought we were drafting Justin fields or Mac.

lance gave me some hope today. He probably is gonna do terrible vs the rams and we might miss the playoffs. But he has shown he has a chance to be a good qb.

He has to learn how to take better running angles and run low. Use that big body to earn an extra yard or two. He's not fast enough like Lamar or kaep. He needs to position himself better so we can actually convert those 4th and 1's. Learn from TB12 he's almost automatic on sneaks and he's a tall dude

A great start. Can't wait to see a whole season

Forreal, only thing sub par is that dude's take.

My take? lol We played one of the worse teams in the league, and some of you act like he played lights out. Please understand I want nothing but to win, and win now I hope trey is the future and is HoF but lets be real. He needs alot of time to learn.

The Texans aren't good. But their passing defense isn't abysmal. They allow 240 passing yards per game on average and Lance passed for 249 yards. They also have 17 interceptions in 16 games.

Lance's performance was good for a second start. Very nervous in the first half. A subpar first half, sure. But certainly not a subpar game.

thats because teams run on them though because they build a big lead early

https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-yards-per-pass-attempt

they are bottom 5 in yards/attempt so it isnt that they are a decent pass defense team its usually they get burned early then teams run on them

That being said i dont want to take anything away from Treys performance especially in 2nd half some improvement is needed but overall encouraging enough where he should be the starter next year
Will only get better, the future is bright ladies and gentlemen!!
Not surprising since we saw it in college, but Trey's ball-handling is so good. I saw a lot of defenders take the cheese today.
