Deforest Buckner on Trey....
got that Baltimore vibe.
I thought trey could run the whole playbook. Now he's a B rated Lamar?
great to see we run a whole diff playbook with Trey, one that maximizes how many hits our young QB will take.
welcome QB killer Kyle shanny. When Trey tears an ACL on a QB keeper up the gut I'm gonna go back to this post and just post this for the rest of my life.

Unfortunately, this remains true. Downward trend in both run and pass blocking right now. Hopefully they rebound esp. that C to RT side.
Our conversations are like Groundhog Day.... sigh

I think part of it is Kyle just adjusting with a different style qb, and the other part with trey being confused 90 percent of time.
To me it seemed like Trey was just running around like a chicken without it's head.
This is exactly right. He's really far behind and he needs more gametime to progress because he is way more raw than anticipated or he needs to sit and learn. He's clearly not ready to play for an actual contender

100% Kyle
He's in a tough spot trying to craft a game plan for a kid who doesn't know a ton of the playbook. When Jimmy got here he let him do the same, but Jimmy had way more pro experience, so he just ad-libbed in the passing game and took risks. Kyle filled a lot of the holes with Trey's running ability. Im not sure there was much else he could've done with Trey in a weeks notice. It just shows that Trey needs more time before he's ready to command the offense.

Nope. We're replacing a injury prone QB with possibly another injury prone QB. Weeeee

What a compliment to be compared to a former MVP (who is also one of the top candidates for the award this year so far) on a team that has made the playoffs every year he's been there.
If Shanahan were to be fired, Greg Roman might be our next HC.

Yeah, between injuries and offensive line, QB, receivers, special teams, personnel decisions, cap, etc. it's pretty much been the same conversation for years and years now.

That game plan still pisses me off. That was way too many designed runs. If the plan is to have him run, go 5 receiver and spread out the defense. But I prefer seeing bootlegs and pass plays that open up running lanes like we did with Young.
