Yeah this isn't really telling anything is it? For all we know Jones can have 1-2 reads max per play on a 3 step drop vs a guy like Wilson or Lance scrambling to make something out of nothing etc.

The sample size is too small but his style of play ATM matches the rest of the mobile QB's, albeit, at the far right on the spectrum.

But in Kyle's offense, he's pretty standard around 2.5 to 2.65 since he's excellent on getting that first read open. Remember it takes 2 full seconds to execute a play action too so when you're averaging 2.5 to 2.6s averages, that gives you a half a second to plant and hit your first read the mass majority of the time.

That's why Kyle loves quick separators at the line of scrimmage. This is where Kyle and Lynch are complaining about Aiyuk IMHO.

Eventually Kyle will want Trey to trust those first reads too but will probably live with 2.75s given his mobility. And with mobile QB's that are higher in TTT, they almost always go deeper on those off schedule plays too which greatly increases their AIY.

In short, Kyle will want the best of both worlds. He'll want him on schedule as much as possible but if it's not there, go make something happen with his legs and arm off schedule. My guess is he'll end up around 2.75s TTT for his career under Kyle.

I went back and watched all the offensive plays.. What concerned me the most about last game was the gameplan. I don't know if it was treys fault or Kyle's fault. It just seemed like I was watching a backyard football game and no plays complimented the other. I think part of it is Kyle just adjusting with a different style qb, and the other part with trey being confused 90 percent of time.

No. Garoppolo will be back when healthy. A QB change is a permanent move, so they aren't doing it until they know hes 100% ready.

It appears to take around seven years to be ready for Kyle's genius offense.

Lance played one season of college football against mostly 2nd rate opponents, then sat out all of last season. Hes only 21, and has been learning the offense for 4 months. It would be ridiculous to expect him to be ready at this point, and be sarcastic about him not being there yet, considering all those factors.

With Jimmy's injury history - it would behoove Trey to stay ready.

Trey has his own injury issues to deal with.

The finger?

Meh, Jimmy is injury prone for sure.

100% Kyle

You miss the point.

You can have dandy passer and runner for a QB but it does not necessarily translate to getting to the SB. Allen has only got to the playoffs and his team has been hosed out.

It is the team executing the plays called that is far more important then having a QB who looks pretty on a few throws and a few runs. What is Allen's completion percentage on deep throws?

Say wut? RU seriously going to criticize Allen cause he hasnt taken his team to the SB in his first three years?

What dont you understand? Jimmy is clearly more important of a player then Josh Allen....Dont you know, the whole league is clamoring for the next Jimmy Garoppolo. Future of the NFL. Top 5 QB in the league .

Hes a 49ers QB. There's going to be lots of polarization, little nuance and lots absolutes.

If he makes a few mistakes multiple times, it'll be he makes it, "every time" or "all the time" or "never is able to ________"

People want Josh Allen and they want him now. Do I see anything that tells me he was worth 3 1sts? I'm not convinced. We can see he's really raw. I think they could've moved up to 7 or 8, given up less or even possibly stood at 12 and still gotten him.

But, that doesn't make any difference to his talent level or potential. What it does do, it put more expectations on him from the fan base when you drop that many 1st round picks for a guy, to produce early at a high level.

IMO, people have this wrong. It's not whether or not you believe he is "worth 3 firsts" it's whether or not you believe he is worth the #3 overall. That's what it really boils down to. The 2 extra firsts is just what it cost us to get into position to draft him. But people are so hung up on the cost it took to get to #3 overall.

He is either worthy of the #3 or he isnt. And time will tell.

I guess potato potaahhhhto. I should say, I'm not convinced he was at the place to cost the 3rd, considering how raw he is. Point being, in a win-now league and us valuing him highly based off having a starter already, is there another team who would've paid top 6 or 7 for him?
This thread will be fun in the next few years. I love how everyone already knows whether he was worth the trade after his 1.5 game experience

Have you been on here long? It's like this every year, if you don't put up madden on rookie mode numbers from day 1 you're a bust already. Bunch of cry babies on here who need a titty in their mouths

Remember when you thought TTT was a pass protection stat.

To me it seemed like Trey was just running around like a chicken without it's head.
