You're a 49er QB so get used to being blamed for everything.

Newsflash: most 49er players did not grow up 49er fans. Oh noes.
And SF doesn't like drafting, signing or trading for life long 49er fans apparently

In regard to the bolded in the post I quoted.
If Lance is good with the playbook does that mean we saw it on Sunday?
I was happy with his play but wonder what was behind the play calling.
What was the problem you had with the playcalling? Too many QB runs?
I'm not sure I had a problem, it was entertainin. It just looks so different than what I have seen from Kyle and was wondering if that is what to expect going forward.
Yes, the formations and runs are what I am referring to.

You have failed to prove or show anything that supports him sitting a year is a wasted season and or that gets little to no development. And when presented with a player who says it helped them, you brush the players comments off. I think the player knows better as to whether it helped them or not.
And you've shown me no legit proof that supports sitting a QB is the way to develop a QB. You talk about great football minds says YET no one does it!
You mean the same player that said he couldn't read defenses and STILL won the MVP? That guy lol. Every player who's asked that question always says "it helped me prepare like a pro", players also say one of the most important things they can get is reps.
Our freaking HC said it's hard to get better at playing football, by not playing football. John Lynch said that Lance hasn't gotten damn near any snaps during the season (in practice) and how important those are for developing.
"The great news is that Trey's gotten a lot of valuable reps [this week]," Lynch shared. "I think that's the tough thing in this league. You're trying to develop Trey, but starters typically get 95 percent of the reps, if not more, in the NFL, so it's hard to get a backup reps. So, if anything good of this has come, Trey's got a bunch of reps, and he's really responded in good fashion."
so he's literally not getting any reps from Sept-Jan any people think a kid who's in desperate needs of reps is just gonna come into 2022 real to roll, give me a break.
Why would Andy Reid spend 2 first round picks on Mahomes and then waste an entire year to not develop him at all?
That Andy Reid obviously does not know how to develop an NFL QB.
Chiefs fans should still be outraged by this amirite?

I'm saying I don't think he's stupid and can't digest the playbook. Outside of some added elements in the run game, what was kyle running as far as passing plays go that were totally different?
the issue with the kid is the game is fast right now, windows are tight…getting no reps for half a yr isn't gonna help slow everything down for him. He's gotta get more confident in his reads (which will help with mechanics as well). IMO you get more confident by getting more game speed reps, seeing more coverages and just doing more….not watching more film and not throwing footballs.
My point had nothing at all to do with staring or sitting Lance.
Did we see the blueprint for the ShanaLance offense game plan? I am just curious if that is what to expect of if that was a very different gameplan from what Kyle has planned for Lance Ling term. Not sure how simplified it is compared to what he envisions.

Regarding the pass plays, it was different imo. Is that what we'll see going forward? I guess it depends how forward in the future we are talking about. I think in Lance's next start, the plays will look very similar to what we saw vs ARI, that is, lesser conventional dropback passing compared to Jimmy, with lots of simplified reads. Kyle's primary focus vs ARI was winning the game, not developing Lance. If Kyle's primary focus was development last Sunday, then we would have seen more short game rhythm passing because that's where Lance needs the most work imo. The QB runs are what puts Lance in his comfort zone. The gameplan shouldn't look like that as Lance progresses as a passer.

FWIW I think Cossell was spot on in his analysis that the game plan was likely one built around the things Trey is most comfortable with right now and things that play to his current strengths.

Why would Reid draft McNabb 2nd overall and play him the same yr
Yes the great Andy Reid is certainly the QB developer....never mind the following:
-AJ Feely
-Andy Hall
-Kevin Kolb
-Mike Kafka
-Nick Foles
-Aaron Murray
-Kevin Hogan
I'm sure if Mahomes played yr one his talent and skill set wouldn't have helped him....I'm sure he'd be awful right now and everyone would be complaining why didn't he sit and be the scout QB for a full yr. I mean he clearly learned how to read defenses in the red shirt yr. He clearly improved his bad mechanics and awful footwork
He's always playing within the pocket and under structure. He never goes off script and only runs the play that's called. Yeah Mahomes is a real system QB, good thing he had that yr to figure it out

I mean of course it's more simplified...the kid hasn't taken any reps with the starters for the majority of the time he's been here. He had a week to actually apply the play calls onto the field.
The playbook like the player will develop with time.

Can we stop the stupid Lance hat selection discussion? Nobody should care what kind of hat he wears as long as it's anything but a 49ers hat/helmet on game day.

meh. looks like he matches his caps with his outfits.
As do I 100% of the time.
Coordinating of shoes, socks, pants, shirts and hats is an OCD thing for me.
But of the Giants, 49ers, Sharks and Warriors hat doesn't coordinate I move away from team hats.
