Let's keep perspective, Chandler Jones and J.J. Watt are a handful. Holding penalties against them are going to happen.

Some plays, our oline got beat and that sucks. But not sure if they happened on those four specific plays, but I feel there were some holds committed because Trey left the pocket too early and our lineman had to do it to protect him.

I think his point was those are difficult Positions to constantly be in. Even if it was a veteran quarterback behind center. I was impressed that Trey actually converted a couple of them.

Just barely a 50% completion avg. That's not going to get it done in Kyle's offense. Hopefully that is something that can be improved upon. I would hate to see him become one of those guys who can put up decent numbers because of his ability to hit the occasional long ball but can't make the underneath game work because he can't hit a 10 yard slant when he needs to. Time will tell I guess. Interesting to see how many people in here are already willing to bag the season just so Lance can get more playing time. 'The Faithful'. Not much I would say.

I will say that it WAS impressive that we moved the ball despite all the holding penalties.

I would certainly love to see how the Trey Lance offense looks once he develops more in the third and fourth down situations.
Are you really buying into the KS Lance was his first choice during the draft hmmm I felt like he was trying to get Lance hurt today with those QB run plays

You call this train wreck ready?!

You need to go and watch some Kap tape. That is what you call ready and not this s**te!! Go and watch his first start against the Bears and tell me you were wrong cos you had dirt in your eyes.

Bro, learn to be objective. Trey Lance is a longgggggg way from being ready. Jimmy might not be the second coming, but if you still relish any slight chance of winning more games, then Jimmy is your man and not Trey. Trey will sink the ship.

They both aren't good enough to bring this team anywhere meaningful this year.

We can handle Jimmy's limitations and mistake riddled play and still win games with a dominant run game and defense. We don't have those things. It isn't 2019. Our defense has been mostly good, but not like 2019 and our run game is busted and being sat on by defenses.

Other rookies show promise. Name one pass play that Trey impressed. I can't. Not one.

Where was the deep sideline pass? Oh yeah the one to deebo that was out of bounds. I like the kid, good kid, but he's not accurate. He's not a qb. You can't teach accuracy. No touch and no accuracy. The worst combination.

Are you serious? He made multiple big boy passes. That laser to Aiyuk on 3rd and long. That beautiful throw to Sanu as well on the flat. You are tripping.

Ive been Watching football for 40 years. I know a good qb when I see it. He ain't one.

Oh?

Damn…bent him over the table

Similar issue to the interception. He seems to fixate on one thing and has tunnel vision as a result. I hope he'll watch the film and learn from mistakes like this.

The interception was not a mental mistake the player was wide open. He did not make the throw period. People want to complain that he had 10 yards to run but if he wouldve ran people wouldve b***hed he missed a wide open receiver. He sailed it. Honestly Scags has to go. I do t think he's worth a s**t Jimmy's had the same problem sailing balls the entire time he's been here.

Congrats. This is dumber than Kap 2.0 thread. I honestly thought it was not possible to say anything dumber.

But it's easier to bat a QB's throws whose delivery is so deliberate.

I mean, Jimmy gets PLENTY batted.

This is what I took from Lance's performance today:

1. The game is not too big for him. He didn't look rattled or scared.
2. Dude has a LOT of heart. He runs hard - didn't care for his body - something that gets you pumped but also scary and I'd rather that he learns to protect his body.
3. He doesn't give up. So many holding penalties - i was getting dejected watching it on Tv - he put his head down and kept going - trying to get the 1st down.

All this means to me that he's ready to start and learn from every game and every snap he gets. It's time to transition to Lance completely. Give him these 12 games to learn this year and see what he can do with a full offseason where he gets 100% of the snaps next year.

Not like this:

I think we could trade him for a first and maybe a second round pick for him. Plus once we trade Jimmy that will be a 5th rounder.

Yea, Jimmy only did it while choking in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl. He generally doesn't have a ton of passes batted.
Trey had a good first start. Anyone that is saying otherwise is a hater. THats it.

the pass got away from him on the first INT but other than that a real impressive showing. He looked like he was in control out there. I think that bodes we'll going forward.

Shanny's playcalling was really disappointing. I'm starting to wonder if having him as HC is best thing for Treys development.
