Jon Embree has never called plays since he started coaching in 1991. He's been primarily a TE coach 2006. I mean there's nothing in his resume that leads me to believe he can or actually wants to call plays.

End of the day I don't see Ryans getting a gig this yr anyway. Wouldn't be shocked if it's Flores/Quinn/Bowles in Minn. Reporters have said that Kwesi Adofo-Mensah isn't tied to a certain HC candidate, Breer just brought up Ryans because he interviewed there and KAM worked in SF for a hot min.

I'm hopeful that Demeco only having 1 year of DC experience and our deep playoff run, keeps Demeco here for another year.
If I was an owner, I'd also be curious what Demeco's plans for a staff are.

No, it does not appear there are many Defenses that are better than us or that can match us at this point.

Beyond that, the "Who's got it better than us?" saying will live on for me, I like it a lot and will continue using it.

Yeah we are basically the lone defensive and running team left. So we are the outlier but teams structured this way normally do great things in the postseason.

For this reason, along with my love for the 49ers, is why I hope we in it all. The NFL world is so in love with superstar QB's doing their thing, yet this is a 53 man roster. I like that when we win, it's such a team victory in all three phases of the game.
