Why didn't they shipped that 6th to the Giants for Markus Golden? He could've been a good replacement for Ford.

Salary might have something to do with it. True he's a way better player, but he's also has a cap hit of 5 million we can't afford.

So I thought the niners had 11+ million in salary cap space. How could they not afford him if they have the space?

DE Dunlap is looking for a trade out of CIN. Would be good in the rotation. Don't know what his salary looks like, though.

Can you expound upon this?? i am confused, the niners gave away two draft picks for a player that was on the waiver wire 6 months ago?? For a player that is a rental for the next few months?? There is no way this player is worth a 6th and 7th draft pick. If they traded Dante Pettis for him straight up that would be value.

I think they get a pick and and we get a pick.

We got Willis and a 7th for a 6th. We didn't give away 2 picks.

And the reason we are doing this now is the team is struggling to replace injured players. They didn't know who and how many players would land on IR.

I do miss having that spin move only pass rusher. Something about gives me nostalgia for our early 2000's defenses.

Yeah, only had a little over 1 million.

We gave up a future 2022 6th round choice
They gave us a 2021 7th round choice and Willis

If a future 6th (2022) = a current 7th (2021)
Then we got this depth player for free.

If you consider our future 2022 draft position in the 20's or later and the Jets 2021 as easily the 1st pick in the draft, we got a full round of value

Holy s**t, I didn't realize Markus Golden had 10 sacks last year. What a comeback by him.

And, if he balls - it'll be an even sweeter deal.
Let's get this guy on a plane if he hasn't been already. Wondering if we can get a pick out the Jets for Pettis). Should be at the top of the round.
