Sad to see him tearing up when asked about his time with the 49ers. Going to miss this guy. Might not have all the traits and not a player the team would pay big money to, but he'll always be remembered for his clutch plays and willingness to fight for his team. Dude played through broken ribs.

Not worth the money he will command. WR market is out of control and we can't pay him 20 mill. You can get elite players at other positions for that money. JJ is tough and a gamer and we love him but the economics don't make sense.

I'd try to bring him back but i wouldn't break the bank on him. I don't know if he's going to command a lot of money honestly and i'm sure the 49ers are going to let the market set his price. I think other teams see the same thing we do, a clutch player who will block but a player who can't get much separation.

I like Jennings and have always thought they should have extended him rather than Aiyuk, when they probably could have gotten him for a reasonable price. However, with that being said, it's worth noting that in one of JonnyDel's videos he pointed out that almost half of the interceptions Jones and Purdy threw this season came when they were targeting Jennings. I don't know what that means exactly, but I think it's an interesting stat. Combine that with the occasional, noteworthy drops and what we can assume his asking price will be and it becomes kind of difficult to envision him coming back. At $12-15 million a year, it would be worth it. I suspect he's looking for something like $20 million.

This. I really like JJ, but WR prices are in a bubble. $20m can probably get us a top safety, a top end run stuffer at defensive tackle that can fix the run D with some cash left over.

I read an article that Alec Pierce can expect $20m. At these rates you're better off paying either elite talent $30m, or using the draft + lower tier players. Or maybe going all in on 2TE formations and spending money there

If they can get him at a reasonable price . . . but I suspect based on his exit interview he isn't coming back. He's looking for bank and you can't blame him for that. We'll see if anyone is willing to pay him the money he wants.
Receiver is a huge need on this team and we need a true #1 and a reliable #2. I'd like our number 3 to be able to also be a number 2 if needed with Pearsall's injury situation, hopefully that improves for him. JJ has heart and I give him all that credit and thank him for what he brought to the team, but I really suspect he is looking on moving on knowing the organization won't pay him what he wants. The Niners got him for a year, and he showed what he could be in that year to the rest of the NFL. Now we'll see who picks him up.

He might go with Saleh to the Titans. Would be a homecoming for him.

He was an awesome 49er. One of the best picks of the ShanaLynch era. Helped set the tone on offense with his nasty blocking and physicality after the catch. We're definitely going to miss him, but best of luck to JJ with his next team.

Love the player and fit with this team but he's not going to be worth what he gets paid. It all comes down to money and we can't be spending stupidly on deals like this. He's gonna get 3 years and at least $17-20M AAV. Let him go with Saleh to TEN and be a culture guy for their rebuild. He's from Tennessee so that would be a perfect fit for him.

Titans have roughly $220 million in cap space over the next two years. If Saleh wants him, and Matt Maicocco seems to think he might, they can offer him way more than we can.
