Who are all the really good interior linemen that hit FA?

Aaron Donald, Fletcher Cox, Geno Atkins, Grady Jarrett....when teams have guys that are legit monsters and difference makers, they tend to lock them up.

Quality IDL are always available... literally...dime a dozen. Snacks can't even get a job after signing huge previous contracts in 2016 at nearly $10M APY. It's a passing league. They are becoming the FB's of defense. "Greedy!"

We'll see if this physical freak gets to that Donald and Jarrett level. If he gets near that Buckner level, it'll be worth it.

Otherwise, could have just bought a cheap IDL to fill the hole between Jones, AA and Bosa/Ford.

Quality run stuffing IDL are available. Legit pass rushing IDL don't usually make it to free agency unless they're older players and reaching the downside of their careers, and even then look how much McCoy just signed for.

Lol no they aren't. ESPECIALLY ones that can rush the passer. Snacks is a 2 down run stuffer.
Alotta WWE fans in here, for sure...lol. Again,...how he physically looks has next to nothing to do with how athletic he is,...especially for football. The positive sign with it (we hope) is his willingness to get/stay in shape. Being muscular-looking doesn't raise his potential any.

This. Cost the Colts a top 15 pick and $21M a yr to get a very good pass rushing DT.

A great pass rushing DT usually takes two IOLs that NC covets so much to block them.

Someone with his size and athletic ability doesn't just come amount every draft. His ceiling is stupid high which was the point of Hero's comment/question.

I havent said 1 word about the tandem of "size and athletic ability." Go back and view several pages where people are drooling about how cut he is for his size and his pic. Vince McMahon makes tons of money on this stuff.

2 completely different domains. The top DT in the draft pretty much has the same amount of size and athletic ability as Kinlaw, if not more. 6'5",...326,...quick as a cat for his size. He's just not cut up as much. Distinctions are certainly necessary -- with history as a friendly reminder -- of the differences between the two.

Woof, I'm not getting into the semantics of what you mean or what hero was stating...I'm not arguing with you about this s**t.

Derrick Brown, quick as a cat? While combine numbers aren't everything...anything showing quickness/explosiveness was downright disgusting for him.

How are you not arguing with me on something you clicked to argue? I didn't quote anyone in the initial post and there were several people going off track,...not just you. The masked curse words dont deflect from the obvious of what I'm saying. There are countless examples of players not looking like the Ultimate Warrior on the DLine being extremely quick and effective. Overweight cornerbacks,...if you will.

Force ='s Mass x's Acceleration,...muscular-looking or not. The agility and the muscles then kick in to help with the hand-fighting. This ain't semantics. He looks better running a 40 than Suh,...so what??!! Suh was a damn monster.

The light bulb isint going to come on any quicker for him than other rooks simply because he's big and looks better in a bathing suit than other past DTs. Not gonna see unrealistic expectations placed on my guy you didn't want simply because he's made the commitment to get in shape and get drafted high,...things which I love.

Again the OP was simply posting there aren't many human beings that look like this kid and have the athletic ability he has, You shouldn't be able to move the way he does...will that equal success? No. Is it a f**king good base to start off from? Hell yeah. Does he have a higher ceiling then most? Yes, yes he does. Great thing is there's actual film backing it all up. He just needs more snaps and coaching like most rookies.

FWIW Sapp was a freak athlete in his own right. He dropped because of multiple failed drug tests.

Yes what you're saying is semantics based off what the OP post was trying to point out. Nowhere did Hero say anything about the WWE, you're adding narratives.

Wow I get that your still bitter we passed on Wirfs but finding a quality 3tech that can rush passer was not going to be that easy.

OP?? I was the OP and we're replying to my own post,....based on several pages of comments,...so let's not drag 1 other poster into what you replied to. There are several pages of posters headed off on a tangent and as usual,....I'm saying slow down,...cuz the truth is a little closer to the middle. People get duped by muscular looking guys all the time so I'm kinda used to this talk.

This is the highest level of football there is. Cut up linemen dont become athletic enough to succeed,...athletic guys get cut up. Or don't. Physical appearance doesn't mean they have the athleticism or ability to be great players,..you have to put on the tape, see how they test, and know the player.

The original poster was Hero you were piggybacking off of his comment and exaggerating what the pt was.

You missed the whole pt of the OP. It's fine we can move on.

Pass rushing DT >> IOL

No. I'm the original poster because I replied to no one specifically. If I replied to you, then you get to say who the OP was,...not the other way around. There were several posters in on this, hence, my original post towards no specific person with "Alotta WWE fans in here." Forget whatever PFF says,...this is what really happened.

This guy is good but I dont expect quicker results from him because he's stronger than other DTs. Just about all of them are strong. Watching him play is what should get you excited.

that's not how it works. You're talking about something that was directly related to what Hero was pointing out. Just because you didn't comment off that post doesn't mean anything.

No one said we should expect quicker results because of his size...its as simple as saying his size and athletic ability give him a higher ceiling and there aren't a ton of comps of him coming out of college over the past 10 yrs.

Doesn't mean he will be a all-pro, doesn't hurt him in any fashion though.

Great thing is there's film backing up the upside....Toss in being 6-5 with 35" arms, weighing 325lbs, who moves like a 290lb guy...that's all 📈

Will will see.
