Defo is built different. The dude has been a f**king machine going back to college.

The sob was too healthy, too available to play here. The whole key to being a 49er is having health issues and missing games. I can only think of one starter who has been healthy and not missed games. And I don't want to jinx him because he's our best player. Absolutely insane this FO would take a guy like Sermon when they did who got knocked out of the last game he played. Kinlaw as well.

Also just being a mediocre player will get you in Kyles good graces. Being injured and mediocre…. Kyle is salivating

Kinlaw actually played then went down. Although his knees were flagged pre draft by other teams. Baalke had a habit of drafting players who he thought were steals, but actually couldn't even play let alone walk in their first years.

Remember that time he said he didn't have an injury?

That's what makes it so frustrating - But the pictures were so cool of him saying it!
gosh guys lay off the doom n gloom people, going to sprout grey hairs n hemroids if you don't watch out. Honestly they are being cautious with ol squirrel snax for a variety of reasons. Extra game this year, feeble nfc east opponents we shouldn't need him for anyway, it seems like they have been very high on him for awhile and are just giving him the superstar treatment where they obviously don't worry about him missing a game with the lions or eagles if playing him would jeopardize his availability for postseason games or truly significant matchups. Our FO is being overly sure that players are ready to go before rushing them back to the east coast turf and risking a real long term problem. And I'm all for it. Sure we all want to see our mighty DL at full strength ;making men into Susan's on a weekly basis. Patience, we're just being careful. If he had to play he would. We have a very easy schedule and our coaches are already taking steps to try to ensure the majority of the starters are ready to suit up in Jan.

Best player on D, my God the revisonist history in here. He was not even the best defensive lineman, unless suddenly DeFo is more valuable than Bosa. I would put All Pro Fred ahead of him too.

It's ridiculous. Yeah we'd all love to have Buckner here. We all want Kinlaw healthy. Get over it.

Buckner is gone, either go be a Colts fan or move on.

Buckner wasn't the game changing player people are making him out to be. Before Warner and Bosa got here our defense with Buckner being the key player was simply not very good. Buckner may have been getting his stats and looking great and yes being an iron man out there but our defense wasn't very good.

So once again who are you losing if you give Buckner the huge deal? Kittle? Warner? Bosa? Letting Trent Williams go to KC?

i recall Buckners first 2 years he was often called a bust or drafted too high in these threads.
The front office unfortunately did this to themselves.

Trading Buckner and then drafting this guy to replace him, set expectations unreachable.

Not only did they set the bar high in terms of expectations, but they drafted a guy with bad knees.

Given the situation, Kinlaw is currently a bust.

Biggest attribute is Availability!

I wonder if they just had the idea stuck in their minds that once they traded buck that they would draft his replacement in the 1st round no matter what. Kinlaw knee issues were flagged and there was better talent on the board.

People have all but forgotten why in part we drafted Thomas. Because we couldn't stop the run for squat the year before.
We have to stop all the Buckner talk. I hated the trade as much as anyone but what are y'all doing. Take a Xanax and chill. Let's give Kinlaw a chance to get healthy and help us ball. I'm still excited to see his growth in year two.
