I liked Alex well enough his last couple of years with the team and certainly preferred him to Kaepernick. I still believe we would have won that Super Bowl with him behind center, but the HOF? I don't think so. But then again, if people think that Eli Manning should be in the HOF discussion, then I guess anyone can be.
Umm… Eli Manning won multiple Super Bowls. Against Brady. Eli Manning is not just "anyone" come on lol
He was the QB for two Super Bowl teams, I'm not sure he won them. If winning Super Bowls was the main criteria for being eligible for the HOF than let's throw in Trent Dilfer and Brad Jonson. The only reason the Giants beat Brady is because Manning threw up a prayer and had it answered with an amazing catch by a seldom used wide receiver.
Whether he actually did or not, it seemed like Eli led the league in interceptions just about every year he played. He wasn't a dynamic playmaker like Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson, and I don't think you can make a single argument to support the idea that, as a QB, he contributed ANYTHING to the evolution of the game or in any way advanced how the QB position was played. On top of which, just about every time he came off the field after a bad play, he looked like he was going to cry. I despise Eli Manning.
When you consider your previous post about preferring Alex to Kaepernick and thinking he somehow would have won the SB, and then comparing it to this post, all I can do is laugh. Alex Smith couldnt hold Eli Manning's jockstrap.
