That's an insulting offer and the 49ers are not going to low ball a well respected NFL pro like that. Sanders is an established top 20 WR in this league and deserves to be paid like it.

What?

The most I'd go is 2 years, $16M. Take it or leave it.
Hes old, doesnt matter how good he is. Nobody is giving him 11m a year

Sounds reasonable to me. We're definitely a better team with Sander's than without Sanders.

This is what I figured. Somewhere between 8 to 10 million per year. He clearly still has the juice and a Sanders/Samuel combo can be lethal the better Jimmy gets, the better our pass pro gets, and with teams selling out to stop the run.

Sanders > obj, fitzy, edelman many names that are getting paid. We have to show him 8 figures at least one of the next two years

5% chance we resign him.

Yep, he's going to out price himself.

Who Sanders? No way the 9ers trade picks for a one year rental.

We can't afford even a home town discount, unfortunately.

Review the Team Information thread...last post. I thought the same as you did originally.

Best to use that #31 pick or trade down for a replacement.

Yeah, unfortunately he was a 1-year rental and the team knew this. We also need to understand that he won't be getting better and very much the opposite. We're a better team with him then without him but keeping the big three home is a significantly higher priority.

in other news: we need to upgrade the WR1 position to unlock Shanahan's greatness 😴

Can't expect the passing game to be better if you replace Sanders with a first or second day pick. Rookies can take time to develop and play with consistency.
