I never wish injury on anyone, especially a 49er. But this is Dre's chance to snatch this job for good.
LB Kwon Alexander has a possible high ankle sprain, Kyle Shanahan says. #49ers

It's already his job imo. This was a good excuse to finally make the switch permanently and hopefully dump Kwon next year and save a little cash so we can keep a good fa or sign one

It's pretty clear who the better LB is between Greenlaw and Alexander at this point. Now if we could do some self scouting and stick with the more consistent option even once Kwon is healthy that'd be great.

Kwon is actually a solid run defender. He may not grade well because he misses a lot of tackles but he usually gets to the ball first and allows the gang tacklers to get in on the action

There was a huge drop off in run defense with greenlaw. I don't know if it was just him, but run defense looked terrible.

I think more the Rams scheme and running blocking than anything.

Yeah that concerned me too
That was really the only thing during the whole game that I had a gripe about

That's the DL not getting theirs at the line of scrimmage. Our LB's did good not over committing to the RB. This is a play action oriented offense the moment they bite that ball would be going to the TE who Dre would be responsible for. Look what Kittles did to their LB's that committed to the run.
Just look at the 3rd and 1 tackle Dre at their RZ...That was a TD run. That he forced a FG. He had several big 3rd down stops!!!
