If you are Dre you get all you can bc besides a desire to be the top guy, you might suffer another terrible injury that costs you more money and time. He has to go for the bag.

It sucks. But life ain't easy.
its been over a year since his injury and even longer by the time camp starts

He looked great in the Rams game and want him to stay, love the guy. He's is a risk but could be the return of our defense.

Agree!!
Heard for a report that he wants to be the #1 guy, that'll never happen with Warner here. If he wants that then he'll go to whatever team that is going to pay him to money and let him lead. Not sure how accurate that report is, but I would like him to come back at the right price if hes willing. I would also to have a back up plan in case he does leave and that plan should be better than Campbell.
Some team is definitely going to offer him a few more million per year than we will even if it's just a one year deal. It's unfortunate. It happens a lot to us. There are a few very good FA linebackers that we can get 80% of the production that Greenlaw would give us for cheaper. Not to mention Greenlaw gets injured every single year And is an injury risk. We can do the same with safety like Justin Blackman on the Colts if Huff leaves

with them, Dre's fam being kinda bummed at the possibility of leaving, i don't think he he is selfish enough to want to leave so he can be #1..I also don't get those kinda vibes from him

We're going to hear a lot of crap from now til june 1st.

Unless another team offers significantly more than 49ers, he's staying

There's too much love here for him. Who doesn't want to be loved like that

There will be, it's going to be up to Dre if he wants to stay or get overpaid

Some team will. In Dre's mind, this could be his final contract, and he needs to recoup money after basically getting fleeced by the 49ers in his last deal.

I love Dre. I hope he's back and healthy, but I don't think he's coming back. He's going to do what's best for him and his family, and that's take the biggest bag that comes his way. Ultimately, I think the 49ers need to focus on drafting another LB and getting younger and cheaper there. It sucks, but it's probably the smartest thing to do for the organization's future. Can't keep everybody.

I agree with you. Would love to have Dre on the team but I also have to weigh that against where this team is in the cycle. They are an expensive, old, injured defense. Personally I think it's time to start cycling some of these guys out, as much as I love Dre, so that the 49ers can build to the future. On the plus side it appears that Brock Purdy is a really good QB and that should help with the reshuffling of the roster. I'm skeptical of a return to contention next season, tbh, but I would love to see improvements from Brock and the discovery of more young talent.

That sounds great, but if you dont have the players, letting good guys walk makes you worse. Id rather Dre on the roster while we have 2 guys thst could compete to take over for him and maybe Fred eventually.

Right now, we have nothing. Until that changes, I can't see us letting him walk. Example- it's pretty easy to honor Deebo's trade request. On the decline and we have other guys that can step up.
