I don't have all the answers as no one does but if it's what it seems than Deebo is trending toward being a dirtbag person with all these antics. Not saying he is one at this point, just saying he's seemingly going down that road and seemingly doing dirtbag things.

Almost feel sorry for him because one can be a great player/athlete or one can be a great person. Or, one can be both. But he's going to be a NFL player regardless for a very short period of time. If he played as long as Brady that's absurdly rare and pretty much a non possibility because he relies on his athleticism more. Plus, his physical style guarantees that won't happen. But that's still both a minority of each and every year and a minority of his natural life. Who he is is a person is going to be more important than who he is as a player. And right now he's going to have a hard time getting many first downs as a person with the way he's acting.

But as it is, we don't need him as he is right now. Imo. And he's obviously a great player.

Lol man you taking things too personal. On the field TO handled his business and so did Deebo. If you don't want to see what they do on social media logoff.

I don't pay attention to social media. Or at least his.

Look, at a point this stops being about football and starts being about life. Individual lives. Football is great, but it's a hobby, a distraction.

Sorry if I care about things like people more than I do football.

It's April. Relax. He's gonna end up signing and all these meltdowns gonna pretend they always loved him.

No news is good news
Agreed as I'd prefer to keep him. If he is traded, likely won't hear a peep until Thursday night. Only way we trade for something like the 10th pick is if we either have a targeted player available there or knowledge we can trade that pick for additional compensation. That information won't be known until draft is under way.

Well pay him then

or trade him to a team that will pay him. All add this draft for the most part is butt at the top. Got GMs with less then 15 1st rd grades on players….a 1st this yr isn't as meaningful as past drafts, gonna cost more

I was reading this too. Its a very deep draft where a 6 is like a 4, but the top is WEAK.

I guess we could ask for future 1 and 2's? Most teams shy away from that tho.

The Jets are desperate, though.

Probably won't happen until the Jets are on the clock at #10.

And I'm telling you, you're out of your mind. Deebo is partying because Deebo is NOT the orchestrator of all this. Deebo PAYS SOMEONE to orchestrate all this, to create leverage, to get him paid. He then lives his life while THE MAN HE PAID to pressure the 49ers to maximize his value does his job.

Comparing a guy trying to take care of his family with his best shot he will ever have to TO throwing tantrums and undermining the locker room is ludicrous. This is Deebo's agent doing his job: trying to get his client as much money as possible while he is still valuable.

Trading Deebo for a high first round pick would be as dumb as you can get. Trade one of the best players in the league who is in his prime for what? Our recent draft history early on suggest that would be a terrible mistake. Trade Deebo so you can just draft another Solomon Thomas, Mike Mcglinchey, Javon Kinlaw, etc. ?

You don't trade a generational talent, even if his shelf life will be shorter. You'd better get a couple first round picks and a good player if you were to make such a trade. But even then, I don't think it would be a great move.

Do what you have to do to sign him to an extension.

Some of you are acting as if a trade is what the FO/fans WANT. It isn't, Deebo wants it. What good is Deebo to the 49ers if he doesn't want to be there, holds out, fakes an injury so he doesn't play but gets paid etc etc etc

This this and this..... The 49ers and fans don't want to trade him. Deebo wants out and if there is no possible way of fixing it you have to trade him. Rather it is this year or he holds out next year if he wants out he will get out eventually.

I think most fans want him to stay but understand that he might be gone and accept that possibility

Obviously it's Deebo who has requested the trade, and not the FO/fans Wanting to trade him. I didn't say they Want to do it.

You give him an offer he can't refuse and he's happily signing. That's my point. You do what you have to do to fix whatever caused this tension, and get the man his extension. Prior to all this drama, Samuel seemed to have a great relationship with Lynch and Shanahan. So you would think they would be able to make amends. Money talks

That same agent can possibly screw deebos career if he gets him traded to a bad franchise

no TO was legit dumber than bag of rocks and was a problem in the locker room with the Garcia stuff. Deebo is none of that. and he's nowhere near acting like a dirtbag. your view seems to be based on how this whole thing is framed by the media.

Possibly.

But at the same time it's not just the media when a guy does a stunt like a throat slash gesture to the idea of staying with the 49ers as a social media publicity stunt.

Terrell Owens wasn't dumber than a bag of rocks. Likely not a genius by any means but more than anything a guy with some legitimate issues that as I recall Bill Walsh even suggested trying to get him help for or that he personally get help for. And the Garcia stuff and the locker room stuff didn't happen over night. This is just starting with Deebo. You think if he keeps acting this way and if we don't have a reversal that it's not going to turn into something similar? The guy has become about Deebo and not about anyone on the team. Now maybe that can change. But the odds aren't great.

I really think this is what our asking price is. And I'm betting it's for future 1sts since this draft is kinda ass in the first round.

Given the type of player he is the strategy to maximize his salary now makes sense.
