If he sits out then he becomes a restricted free agent in 2023. That would still give the 49ers the hammer. If he plays and sulks resulting in a bad season, it hurts his market value. Deebo isn't in a strong position here.

Compare him to Stephen Curry, a true superstar. He was willing to take less shots and allow Durant to come to the team in order to make them better. Now he's willing to come off the bench after his foot injury and is allowing a young player to take the scoring spotlight. He isn't demanding to be the highest paid player (he's well paid though).

No, they shouldn't have started at 24.5 mil, but to offer him less than what even Kirk made...That's a huge slap in the face. Idc if its sports or not, having worked in HR and now sales, there's a fine line you need to walk when negotiating. We definitely aren't the first team to low ball a player, but Deebo is also not the first player to say f**k you to a low ball offer and want out.

I hope that these reports aren't true, because that's a very bad way for us to business. Especially when you consider that these guys have to pay CA taxes. But like I said, imo, if these reports are true, Paraag needs to be fired. There's plenty of solid cap guys in the sports who can what Paraag does.

Or u can compare aj brown, mclauren, and dk to deebo. All 3 have way more receiving tds/ production. Aj and dk basically have triple the tds

McLaurin had 6 TDs and only 1065 yards from scrimmage.

He had over 1700 yards.

Deebo had much better numbers than any of them last year.

Treylon Burks is solid. I would approve. But he might not be there. If Deebo must go, you get all you can and you go much higher in the draft. If we do this, it would be with the Jets. THAT SAID, I still think you move to get Burks. What he did for Arkansas last year was quite notable. He was not Deebo, but he was no slouch either. Get him the ball in space and he picks up yards for you.
