Draft picks can easily bust even 1st rounders and many don't contribute in their 1st two years especially most WRs, useless unless you are rebuilding and/or have no choice as in no salary cap space like GB and KC.
For the right price.
Not worth it. Draft (unproven) picks are more useful for rebuilding teams and/or teams that have no cap space (look at the Rams strategy last year), Jimmy G getting dumped is the first domino to the new 49er Era, even Jimmy G knows that LOL.
i am getting so damn sick of the stupid dominoes.
Lmao, everything in life has Dominos, and everything has consequences.
i still think keeping jimmy is preventing us from doing a deal with deebo.. i understand what i have been told by people, but its just dumb to have 29 million dollars tied up in back up qb money.. again i am sure jimmy will eventually be gone. but with lynch.... i need to see it
i don't think you understand then
Deebo's extension would start after his current contract

Did anybody see the Le'Veon Bell tweet? He is still so butthurt lol. Basically he said if Deebo doesn't play this year, the 1 thing the Niners are going to do is feed someone else the ball and make it seem like they don't need him, That they will make it seem like the backup is just as good lol. Basically referencing what was done to him.
He's simply describing a team trying to win games after losing a star player. Yeah, no s**t Le'Veon. It's what teams do.
Maybe he's implying the 9ers should only have 10 guys on the field when on offense if Deebo holds out? [/sarcasm]

Or…. Extend Deebo and cut Jimmy once he's healthy.
that makes to much sense to the haters of deebo and is against the law to the lovers of jimmy
Can't extend someone who doesn't want to bed here, not unless he has a change of heart.
Not til I hear him come out and say that will I believe it.
He already came out and said it imo... he asked to be traded.. he didn't ask for x amount of dollars to be paid.. he asked to get the heck outta here..
Link Please?
he's now actively seeking a trade, according to ESPN, requesting a move out of town after breaking off negotiations with 49ers brass.
"(Samuel) did not want to discuss specific reasons behind his request," Jeff Darlington reported Wednesday, "but he has indeed let the 49ers know his desire to leave the organization." NFL Media adds that Samuel's official request reached the 49ers front office more than a week ago, hence the two sides' halted contract talks.
"San Francisco wants to pay Deebo Samuel, but Deebo Samuel was the one who scrubbed the 49ers logos off his social media page," ESPN's Adam Schefter previously reported Tuesday. "Deebo Samuel was the one that essentially, basically made it known he wanted to move on. San Francisco would pay Deebo Samuel today, tomorrow, the next day. It's not hard to figure out what the contract would look like. ... This ... is Deebo Samuel not wanting to get a deal done."
Why the f**k would he? That would be dumb during negotiations..
yet hear we are ..Trade talk still going strong nation wide
Who cares about talk from fans and media folks trying to justify their existence in the offseason.
I miss the days of waiting for Pro Football Weekly or, for a short time, the National daily.
People try to make a huge deal out of everything.
It is gossip.
It's the off-season. The nfl is like a soap opera for grown men. Of course the are going to be emotionally invested in every little detail. That the way it is now. If this offends you check the newspaper every week lmao. Times have changed
You'd think posters are being held captive and forced to read new material.
I dont know how we got here, but i am disappointed this developed the way it did.
One would think Lynch and Shanny could have smoothed over the salary limitations until a consensus could be reached, before trade demands started.
On one hand, the track record of failed WRs should cause concern with Deebo so adamant to leave, on the other hand.....he does drop balls, and eventually the 49ers started to really hit on WRs. It is not like the 49ers DONT have talent at WR....there is still real talent there. I really thought the 49ers had the best weapons in football last year, they just didn't produce on the field.
If this escalates and a trade is eminent a team to look at is New England. The niners have a good reapor with them and they can offer the same compensation that Green Bay received for Adams. Green Bay received 22,53. New England has 21,54.
