1. Offer him a deal he just cant refuse which will be the largest non QB contract in league history. Everything has a price so even if he wants to leave he can be bought. It can be done but there wont be a lot of money for other players such as Bosa and we all know Bosa is going to be asking for a huge deal too. Thankfully Bosa isn't acting this way. If i were Lynch i'd send Bosa and his agent a Thank You card right now.

2. Let him play out his contract, tag him the next year and let him walk in 2024. This would be a hardline stance but the 49ers have the right. You'd get him for 2 years and get a comp pick when he walks. This is our best option and maybe next year he changes his mind and signs an extension or we trade him at some point in the next 2 years.

3. Trade him now. Offense would take a step back for sure but we'd get the most value for him today.

I hope him and his agent are just playing hardball and he doesn't actually want to leave the 49ers regardless of what they offer. I like option 2 the best but you are only kicking the can down the road and dealing with the issue later on. Only way i would go with 3 is if some team offers a deal you can't refuse.

Don't forget option 2b with the Packers approach to Adams...play out his contract this year and then tag and trade next year.

We could let him play out this year, then tag him x2 before trading him at the beginning of 2024 off-season I believe?. Still hopeful we're able to get a deal done though.

right by the time you tag him twice we will be paying him probably more than if we just worked out a deal with him. and that would probably give them more wiggle room on the cap

If any team wants to trade for deebo, they might as well ask Seattle for Dk Metcalf, would probably cost less as Seattle is rebuilding and probably don't care if DK is gone.

If Seattle is smart, they should be shopping Dk to any team looking for a #1 WR that wants to trade for deebo so they can get even more draft picks to rebuild faster and don't have to pay Dk now or later. The only issue that would affect deebo is how much other teams are willing to pay DK per year for a new contract..

For the right price.

Not worth it. Draft (unproven) picks are more useful for rebuilding teams and/or teams that have no cap space (look at the Rams strategy last year), Jimmy G getting dumped is the first domino to the new 49er Era, even Jimmy G knows that LOL.

ok,,,, next to losing deebo... in my opinion.. the biggest worst disaster we could have is if for whatever reason........ the team ends up trading deebo AFTER the draft.. if we trade him and i hope we do not,, it HAS to be for a high round pick this year.. now of course one has to trust lynch to know what to do with said pick. but thats beside the point.

Lol, they ain't trading, they're not stupid. Seattle should be the one shopping DK with the deebo drama and stirring up #1 WR needy teams before the draft.

Agreed. Trading him after the draft would be a disaster. I still believe we'll get a deal done before the season begins. I honestly believe Deebo doesn't want out. He knows he's a perfect match for Kyle. They both need eachother.
of course the media is clamoring for Deebo to go to Dallas. Of course…

i still think keeping jimmy is preventing us from doing a deal with deebo.. i understand what i have been told by people, but its just dumb to have 29 million dollars tied up in back up qb money.. again i am sure jimmy will eventually be gone. but with lynch.... i need to see it

Too bad for them there's no chance of that happening.

Like I said before, as soon as his shoulder is good he is gone or if a desperate QB needy team shows up during the draft or right after the draft he could be traded immediately that frees up the money for deebo and bosa, this is another big reason why the 9ers haven't went crazy in free agency going after big names, they want to dump Jimmy for a 2nd round pick (even though Jimmy has shortcomings, he helped the team make it to the SB and NFCC last season and has a good win %) and save his money for deebo and/or bosa, obviously both if possible.

agree,, i will rest a bit easier after thursday night if deebo is on the team.. and then i will relax totally on friday night if deebo is still on the team., cuz i know lynch would never wait till day three to trade deebo.... if he does.. well lets not get cc worked up until he has an actual reason
