So Deebo is saying "pay me as a dual threat", but Kyle is saying that he won't be used as a dual threat, as often, like he was at the end of 2021.

do you think deebo and kyle have had these types of discussions behind closed doors. i just have more faith in kyle getting this resolved with deebo instead of lynch.

If its really not money then I would imagine those two could work it out.

and replace his production and what he does with what and whom

Debo had what 800 something yards in 2019 and they had no problem making it to the super bowl. Why would it be any different now?
Deebo is custom made to play in Kyle's offense. He wouldn't be considered a number one receiver on any other team in the nfc west. I don't think he makes the pro bowl on most rosters.

An absolute stud in Kyle's scheme. An above average receiver that has trouble separating from man coverage and has the dropsies in most other schemes. Not overly quick, not a great route runner.

If he stays with us, Kyle is going to continue to abuse his body…. Almost certainly won't live up to his contract due to injury.

It's an unfortunate situation for both the team and Deebo. If his time with us results in an awesome contract for Deebo, I'd consider that a success for him. I hope he gets the money he wants… he earned it by sacrificing his body for us last year. I just don't want us to be the ones to give him 25+ a year…. I don't believe we'd get a good return on that investment.

Exactly! In fact Deebo just took over Jeff Wilson's role from the previous year(the RB portion anyway) he is way more replaceable than some think.

GREAT player but replaceable

If deebo goes to another team, they would not be able to use him like Kyle did. That's the real guarantee. So the risk to trade for him is even higher.

This is about something else.

Cash that's it

Well said, as much as I like Deebo and the way he plays I'm a Niners fan first so if a player doesn't want to play for the Niners then goodbye. I understand he wants to make as much money as he can but both sides know it's a business--Deebo is going to do what's best for him and the Niners are going to do what's best for the team. If the Niners are going to trade him then trade him to the AFC, the Jets would be a good place because they tried to get Hill from KC so they might make a great offer for Deebo. Besides the draft is suppose to have a good crop of receivers and there are still some decent free agent WR that the Niners could sign like Jarvus Landry who played in Cleveland last year. Besides if Mitchell wasn't hurt last season then the Niners wouldn't have use Deebo as much for a running back.

A player doesn't act disgruntled because he's far from home, he acts disgruntled when he feels he's been wronged. Meaning he can't be bitter that SF and CAR are geographically far. That's not a valid reason to be upset with SF. If this really is the reason, then say it behind closed doors that he wants to be closer to his family, not scrub social media and publicly request a trade.

in an interview during Super Bowl week, Deebo was asked if was going to work out with Trey Lance in the offseason. he basically said "hell no! he trains in Cali"

from that reaction, i believe there's definitely something to Schefter's take.

I agree our list of qb weren't very good during some of that time frame. However, I'd struggle to say any of those wr went to a different team and had success.
i agree also. The Pats are going through a similsr struggle of their own.. but QB was the big difference

History is history.. i think we have guys now.. even without Deebo to keep the offense going

Agree with this. And for the whole him wanting to be closer to his newborn, ummm it's not as if he can't move his baby mama and daughter to Cali with him. I only see this whole thing getting more and more ugly, we should just trade him right now at his highest value

If he really is unhappy in CA, that's fine and understandable. But if that's the case, then what I don't understand is how he is going about this. He seems upset with SF, as if SF is at fault for being far from Carolina. SF has been far from Carolina since he's been drafted. I know that's obvious, just saying why is he all mad about geography?

without deebo maybe we never would have went to the super bowl that year. he was very very very good.. last year without him.. we never would have came as close as we did. 2019 is then. this is now
