Awful reason. Why not just wait until rookie contract expires? Poor Deebo, gets to play in Super Bowls and nfc championships but isn't good enough because it's not with an East coast team

Because he just had a baby in December and wants to be closer now? Still doesn't make a whole lot of sense, although it could be a factor. A player doesn't act disgruntled because he's far from home, he acts disgruntled when he feels he's been wronged. Meaning he can't be bitter that SF and CAR are geographically far. That's not a valid reason to be upset with SF. If this really is the reason, then say it behind closed doors that he wants to be closer to his family, not scrub social media and publicly request a trade.

Lol. Not even close

I hate the distraction but it is here so you gotta deal with it. i can also see the team not caving into a player. to many things are unknown., is he really unhappy with his role.. does he really hate living in california, hot mess. but i am very very much opposed to dumping him. i see no one vet or rookie who can do what deebo can do. also you just do not take away this guy from trey. who is already dealing with a suspect o line

Its not just the 49ers. There was a study years ago that showed WRs had the 3rd highest bust rate of all position groups drafted in the 1st round. With that said i think Deebo has a ton of value since he is a proven commodity and i'd ask for for than a 1st rounder. My starting price would be two firsts and go from there. Not saying we get 2 but thats where i would begin.

No. He's gonna be a 49er next year and for years to come.

Let's hope so.

It has to be about the $. My guess is that he views his versatility as a bonus, and it is. But with a new QB coming in, perhaps Kyle will not be using Deebo at RB as much, and wants to pay Deebo as a pure WR, where he simply doesn't have years of production as Hill/Hopkins/Diggs. So Deebo is saying "pay me as a dual threat", but Kyle is saying that he won't be used as a dual threat, as often, like he was at the end of 2021.

We replace em in the aggregate like they did in the movie Moneyball... Jeremy Giambi, David Justice and Peter Quill ought to do it

I'm too lazy to take out Messi but imagine it says Deebo

do you think deebo and kyle have had these types of discussions behind closed doors. i just have more faith in kyle getting this resolved with deebo instead of lynch.

So they are circling back to its not about the money, but its a delicate situation? hmmmmm

Sounds like we've gotten beyond that initial non-conversation (Paraag's "massacre" trail balloon) and there's a real number on the table so everyone can backtrack. LOL

LOL yes, I mean its always about the money, but I found Sims and Florios talk interesting. And Sims basically found out two things - It's not the money and its delicate beyond that..... It could simply be he wants to be closer to home, but he doesn't realize he has no choice at this point in his career.

LOL. I don't want to live in rural Alaska (not that there's anything wrong with that at all, I'm sure it's super beautiful) but if you pay me $100M to do it, well damn where do I find a good parka and when's the earliest I can leave???

I'll bring the beer bro. Unfortunately these gifted athletes don't realize it's a perishable skill and it gets to their heads.

Oh I think they do which is why, especially in the NFL more than any other sport, you have to maximize your earnings when you can, while you can. I don't blame players AT ALL relative to what owners are making not to mention most of their forums are taxpayer subsidized.

Agreed, but IF its really not the money , but it's just him wanting to be closer to home, it's not happening lol

True but you usually get that from a player who's been in the league for a while, etc. He just had a kid and with $100M you can buy a condo and don't have to live in the Bay for most of the year. I thought that most players had homes outside of Santa Clara (?).

Yeah it doesn't really add up which is why we need all the facts.

You didn't mention Kyle played WR in college, he knows what to look for in a good WR as well as how to coach them and use them to their highest potential.

9ers still have BA who is trending up with Trey, if Deebo decide to hold out, BA could easily become the new #1 WR.

Deebo has no leverage and is a big cry baby for big money at this point who has only proven it for 1 year and is a high risk for injuries. No one is buying him with Tyreek type money and picks.
