But as Sims and Florio said, he now saw other WR's getting exactly what they wanted this offseason..... why cant he? They also explain those guys are much further along in their careers so those teams were more willing to make the deal vs the Niners who are about to get him in his prime etc.

I mean it seems silly, but we cannot dismiss it.

Dude wants to be closer to home. Panthers are the perfect team to trade him to. McCaffrey for Deebo straight up. Same type of players and both injury prone. We wouldn't miss a beat

Yikes. To be fair only one was a top 10 pick. They obviously haven't valued receivers in the draft. But recent history has been much better Aiyuk, Deebo, and Pettis. 2 out of 3. I think if they trade Deebo, and if it's a top 15 pick, Treylon Burks could be a very interesting option.

A starter during all three of his seasons at Arkansas, Burks played an extremely varied role for the Razorbacks, lining up all over the formation. This past season, Pro Football Focus charted him taking snaps in the slot (529), out wide (132), inline (19) and in the backfield (36). He even logged a play as a wildcat quarterback. Basically, Arkansas did everything possible to simply get the ball in Burks' hands, and for good reason: In addition to leading the team in receiving for the third straight season (66 catches for 1,104 yards and 11 touchdowns), he also averaged a robust 8 yards per carry on 14 totes (totaling 112 yards and another score). Burks believes this versatility is his trump card in a receiver class lacking any kind of consensus prospect hierarchy.

Has been used all over the field - including snaps as a back. Could easily adopt a role akin to Deebo Samuel in San Francisco - although he's even bigger

Burks brings excellent versatility to the NFL. He's aligned from the slot and out wide during his time at Arkansas. Furthermore, the ability to carry the ball out of the backfield adds another dimension to his usage. If he lands with the right team, Burks can be a dangerous weapon for an NFL offense.

These are the kinds of things that make it hard for teams to maintain greatness. It often seems to be WRs that are the guys that want more touches, more playing time or more money. Look at all the great WRs that have been traded or let go in recent years mostly for financial reasons.

DeAndre Hopkins, Tyreek Hill, Odell Beckham, Stefon Diggs, DaVante Adams, Amari Cooper and several others that were good but not great. It seems like they're never happy. Definitely the prima donna's of the league.

Doesn't help that every draft, there seem to be a boat load of guys that seem really good. Just look at all these guys that are running 4.3 40 times these days.

I feel like its bigger than ever this year. Seems questionable to me if they want to rush and pay this guy top money after 1 good season

Its true. Historically, we have not been great at scouting receivers. But that being said, I have faith that Aiyuk will take that next step. I trust Kyle to draft a top receiver as long as he isn't soft like Pettis if we're in a good position to do so. Problem with Pettis wasn't talent, it was all mental.

Also, I think measuring pro bowls isn't fair to this team, especially in the last decade. Everyone knows we're a run first team dating all the way back to the Harbaugh days, and we want receivers that can block. Ironically, Deebo got his all-pro because he started rushing with the ball. He wasn't even awarded it for being a traditional receiver, like he allegedly wants to be.

Sounds like we've gotten beyond that initial non-conversation (Paraag's "massacre" trail balloon) and there's a real number on the table so everyone can backtrack. LOL

LOL yes, I mean its always about the money, but I found Sims and Florios talk interesting. And Sims basically found out two things - It's not the money and its delicate beyond that..... It could simply be he wants to be closer to home, but he doesn't realize he has no choice at this point in his career.

LOL. I don't want to live in rural Alaska (not that there's anything wrong with that at all, I'm sure it's super beautiful) but if you pay me $100M to do it, well damn where do I find a good parka and when's the earliest I can leave???

I'll bring the beer bro. Unfortunately these gifted athletes don't realize it's a perishable skill and it gets to their heads.
Better be REAL aggressive if you want it to happen

10, 38 an Moore or don't bother to call
And the funny thing is Jets only has 16M of cap space. Once the 9ers dumps Jimmy G, they'll have more than enough room for Deebo and probably bosa as well and no one is going to trade multiple 1sts for deebo and give him 30+M and be locked to a bunch of guaranteed money for long term.
oh look Jets are talking about Deebo again (and again and again), when does this become tampering ?

"says he can't get into specifics for a player not on their roster. But…"

he literally did.

They will keep Deebo I think. It´s not their MO to do a big trade like that with the draft only in one week.
Just play him this season. Try to sign him to another contract or franchise tag him.
I cannot talk about how much I want a sandwich right now.

But I do.

If the Jets keep talking Deebo like this they might end up giving up some picks. For no-one.

Someone on the television told me Subway sandwich's are good
So is it safe to say Deebo has reached a point of no return?
