By reading some of your posts. There is going to be a lot of butt hurt fans when the compensation is drastically less than some of you think he's worth.

That would be great. He and Jimmy G could go play some pickleball while the rest of the team is getting ready for the season.
Let him go. At this point, long-term, it just can't be a good relationship. Take some solid first round picks and move on! Truly love Deebo, but believe we will be better in the long run. 9ers > Deebo

What do you think he's worth in a trade? We saw a box safety go for two 1sts not that long ago. Brandlin cooks has been traded for a 1st and change multiple times. Hill and Adams 1sts and 2nds (and more for Hill).

if I'm SF I'm not moving him unless it's a stupid deal...they're not in the same boat as Hill/Adams where they allowed them to seek out a trade.

haha

FWIW Deebo will lose cash he can't get back and a accrued season if he doesn't show up to camp...just push that free agency ability down the road. Did wonders for L Bell

Deal will get done I'm not concerned

Why? There's a difference between business and playing for a team. Right now it's business. You think he hates playing here with Kyle? I highly doubt that...he wants to be paid and will do whatever he can to make it happen. Throwing out trade requests isn't some shocking thing. IF it comes to a point where the signs are just too far apart then fine.

Deebo is the 49ers...until he's not. So it's not one or the other.

Honestly I think so too. Sucks because I want to make a mock before the draft but I got no idea what happening now lol.

I don't understand how offering him $22 Million per year with around $50 Million guaranteed is considered low balling him. He deserves to ask for more but that is alot of money for a WR that is getting his 1st contract after his rookie deal. Remember that with Hill, Adams, and Diggs this is their 2nd contract after their rookie deal. How much did they get after their rookie deal? Trent Williams a 1st ballot hall of famer, the best LT in Football, A generational talent, got $23 Million. Kittle is getting around $15 Million and Deebo would be getting about $7 Million more than him. Warner is around $17 Million I think.

this ^

If they actually did offer those numbers then I also agree with this.

From what Peter King said is most mock drafts will go 0 for 32 in this first round of the draft. Every top position (QB, OT, DE, CB) doesn't have a hands down top guy.

Yeah this draft is weird overall...I like to do the mocks for my own reference down the road
FWIW Mostert requested a trade after the 2019 season as well. Same with Gould. Both signed extensions.

That's what I think. We offer 20, but he wants 25. I recall everyone saying 25 is reasonable given his value to the team. We won't go there because??? He could get hurt? Lol

We drafted him. He's a Niner and a leader on team. Make sure he remains a Niner. There's really no reason if it's in fact 25m. If this is the case I'm team deebo.

Yeah I'm sure it's more about the FGTD cash...you can fluff up a contract to make it $25M per and it not actually being.

I'm pro-player most of the time in these situations. Go get your bag. Dude sets the tone of a game and is what the 49ers want to be. If he get's traded up not gonna be mad at him, I'm not gonna be mad at the organization either. IMO this is a hard situation but hopefully cooler heads will prevail and they get something done.

Agreed. It is a weird one and we don't know the facts yet.

As stated before my hunch is we are not coming close to what he desires and he's taken offense to it. Once we know the actual numbers we can then pass judgement, but if it's that 25m fgtd, I can't blame him. He literally left it all on the field last season. What more can you ask for?

A trade offer would have to be ridiculous for us to move him.
